Pacioretty! Doubt Bergevin is willing to part with him, but he is a very good compliment to Toews and Hossa. Pretty affordable too.

Maybe the Canadiens decides to shut it down and re-build. Who knows what's going on in Montreal.

- TommyHawk

Problem is the asking price for Pacioretty is going to be one that Bowman wont pay. He is a three time 30+ goal guy under a great contract. It will be a haul. He is also their captain

I have heard NOTHING about his rehab. I would assume on time. Yeah, the wrists are important in face-offs. But so are the hips and core. Really hard to say but I'm a huge believer in the heart and will of Marcus Kruger.
- John Jaeckel

Me too, he's always reminded me of Shaw in the heart/will department. Those guys just don't give up. I also have a nostalgic soft spot for the guy because I was at the WCF game 2 in Anaheim this year, and him finally ending it in triple OT was awesome to see

What about Danault for someone like Gallagher? Young player for young player who needs to be out of the spotlight in Montreal?
- TheMainElement

I would do that. Gallagher is awesome, he's like Shaw but with more skill. Plus he's locked up for 5 more years after this season at $3.75 million.

Edit: Assuming Stan found a way to make the dollars/cap work.

Oh, I don't disagree, but that won't stop Bergy from asking.

Do you think they are trying to dump a guy like....

Weise?
Fleischmann?
Gilbert?

Danault and Bickell and... for
MAX

- stan-ley-cups

You could do Danault, Bickell, and TT for Pacioretty and Bergevin would get fired on the spot and run out of Montreal.

Thats not nearly enough to get as good of a player and contract as Patches is/has

MTL would never do it and they would guaranteed ask for someone like Panarin

Someone posted that the Swedes, including Oduya, vacationed together in Mexico during the ASG break. Looks like his wrist is still in a cast, but clearly he's working on his hips and core.

Absolutely. The price would get ugly really quick, especially for a team like the 'Hawks. Was more of an envision-scenario than a reality.

Either way, I think that fan-base cares more about PK or Price getting the C if I'm not mistaken. Pac isn't as intergral as the other two are.

Emelin is too expensive to be a third pair guy in Chicago IMO and desharnais I dont want any part of. They have been trying to run him out of town for years

He's scored a few huge goals in the playoffs. Yeah, Maria, I take some grief for it, but I have no shortage of man-love for Kruger. Although, I must say the yoga pic makes me a little uncomfortable! LOL

First time posting...I haven't seen this name being mentioned much and its probably because he's not available or the team isn't ready to sell, but I feel like Wayne Simmonds would be a the perfect 1LW for the Hawks. The guy is 27, has 3 years after this year with a cap hit of 3.975 million and would do major damage playing with Toews and Hossa. If the Flyers were to make him available what kind of package do you think it would take to get him? A 1st + Dano + Hartman?

Yup, but we coulda won with Rosy. The biggest thing I took from the Kings series is the Hawks were badly outmanned in the pivot. It got so bad that eventually Shaw was moved in to center for Saad and Kane I believe....they were quite good the last 3 games of the series and even that the Hawks nearly pulled a comeback. Lots of blame to go around...Hammer (who is wonderful) lost Gaborik on goal 2 in that series. Maybe if Q figures out Shaw to line 2 a bit quicker it doesn't matter.
- kwolf68

What I took from that series - game 7, at home, you can't blow a 2-goal lead, and two other 1-goal leads, and let the opposition tie it late in the 3rd.

It may take a package of that size to get Simmonds because he'd be Blackhawks property for 3 more years in his prime .

I just feel like the Hawks could do better at 1LW but Simmonds would be a very nice add if there was no better options .

Love Simmonds but thats a STEEP price to part with

Practically puts the prospect pipeline at ZERO

Danault is already up. TT is already up. Panarin is in the show for good.

After losing Dano and Hartman, your best forward prospect is your pick between McNeil, Baun, Kero, or Hinostroza

and thats U-G-L-Y, you aint got now alibi UGLY. Easily would be the worst forward prospect pool in the league overnight. Not great for a team that needs value to fill out the roster the next 4-5 years

The Jets don't see him as potentially a Top 4 guy, plus they are loaded with prospects, which can be moved around easily to replace such a role. For the Hawks, it would be a strong, steady defender that is COST CONTROLLED. Also, the discussions are for multiple players, not just one.

Also, wait until you see what the Jets get back from both Buff and Ladd.

- MexicoHawk

Thx Again, Mex.

Are you hearing what sort of potential returns for Ladd and Buff might be?

Would hate to see Buff with the Kings.

Good reference, JJ.

Ed Wood might be Depp's best role, in my opinion.

Buff with the Kings or Ducks is a nightmare situation .

Hawks would have to play 7 games to win instead of 5 .....
