I hope people from all across the Country and Canada blow up their phones and social media sites. Pretty classless thing to do on their part.

Any reason that anyone outside of Nashville would care about this?

The Sonic down the street from me closed up with no notice. Perhaps I'll blog about it.

What can you guys tell me about Calle Jarnkrok? I am thinking about picking him up in a keeper league I play in, but I honestly don't get a chance to watch the Preds much...

Any info you can give me would help... what kind of game does he play? Is he expected to progress much more? It looks like he's playing 2nd line LW right now... does he play there most often, as I see he takes some faceoffs as well. Really any info you guys can give me would be awesome... thanks!

Damn shame, kids deserve places just like this. I hope someone comes in and fills the gap, you need to spread the word, somebody ex players etc to form a corporation and start a place such as this. Use this blog, get something in the papers. I would call NHL shows on XM and such, the squeeky wheel gets the grease. Good Luck to you.

Thats what you get when you try to have hockey in places that cant make natural ice.

If a rink closes for me, ill go down the street to the next one, suckers.

Hmm.... Didn't you lose your team for years and years......and currently facing dwindling attendance after just bringing it back two years ago ? ?
But then again you can just go down the street and play if you lose it again.

Yikes.

Personally, I would point to a failing education system as something that's wrong with this world.

I'm a victim here as well as anyone else. I LOVED that Sonic. Do you realize you don't even have to get out of (a. you're / b. your) car?

Please choose the correct answer.

If there is private property in that building, and people cannot get to it, isn't that theft? I hope the judge that tried the case loses his job tomorrow.

Volleyball people can't run a hockey rink & be successful! Time to cut bait & build an ice only facility in Williamson County. The money problems didn't start until the volleyball/ basketball court expansion started. Just a major bump in the road for 2 years. It will get better with the right people in place!!!

No doubt it should be the lead story in today's Franklin Tennessee Shopper's Guide.

It sucks.

You are correct that 2 more months would not make that much difference in the big picture, especially after committing to it.
Nashville showed it is a great sports town. Hockey starts at the roots, ie kids playing the game. Shame on them. They took the cash, now honor your contract.

BTW it is "your" car

Its sucks and is disappointing but this crap happens all the time. Sue, get class action status and file injunctions is all you can do.

Issue with facilities like this is you basically have to have them run 24/7. Typically rinks in STL rent out prime ice time for practice and tourneys. Mens and beer league games go to 1am during the weeknights. I have kids who have skating lessons and there are 4 different groups on the ice at the same time ranging from tots to figure to learn to play hockey. Labor and utilities are cheap, gotta keep the building open and have stuff going on.

The GNASH (high school hockey) playoffs start this week. 3 weeks, just 3 weeks and they'd have had 1 plaintiff less. 3 weeks....penile implants....

On another note. When the new owner tries once again to get a wetlands waiver for the parking garage, I'll be part of the TN environmental council and Harpeth River contingent contesting the permit.

Theres a big difference to being born and raised with hockey and hockey values than having a crap product like the "preds" being force fed down your throat.

Hockey doesnt belong in Nashville or anywhere near it, which is where theres a story on hockeybuzz about 1 of 3 rinks closing. Big deal. NHL sucks anyway, but its an embarrassment in Tennessee. I only watch WHL.

Amen, Jtuzie!

I can't believe these silly Nashville fans, who are only averaging 16,874 spectators per game, have the audacity to question a hockey god like you from Winnipeg, a city that averages 15,294 spectators per game this year!

http://espn.go.com/nhl/attendance

I'm just sorry that they've force-fed the Preds down your throat. Hockey in Nashville should be like toothpaste for you, Jtuzer - you should be able to ignore it for years!
