Guys i think buffalo sports fans have to look in the mirror. We ALWAYS overvalue our talent. The buffalo bills defense does not havealot of talent. We had mario Williams who gets meaningless sacks,kyle Williams 3: years old,Marcel dareus who played great in acontract year same with Jerry Hughes. Preston brown and Nigel bradham are below average linebackers.
This is the same with the sabres
Kane Bogosian trade was bad. Sorry Bogosian is a mess,he coughs up the puck all the time. Myers and Lemieux could haunt us.
Brayden mcnabb should never have been traded
Oreilly is a very good player and believe me zadorov has been a troublemaker,but has huge upside
No one talks about the 21st pick we gave up for lehner. we could of used that pick to bundled and get a lot better then lehner
We have no hot young prospects anymore in rochester,juniors or college. Murray gave up a lot of picks and young players. We should be in a lot better position for the moves he made.
We have moulson,deslauriers,leggwand,Larsson,colaiacovo,weber,Gionta who shouldn't be in the nhl. We are a lot farther away then we think and don't have enough young assets to get better quicker. Let's all be honest the two years during the tank.we all saw the amount of first round picks we had the zadorov,myers,Lemieux,armia,,all those assets are gone. We have lehner,kane,bogosian,Oreilly and mcginn who are veteran players and maybe two of them are part of a core to win a cup

No one talks about the 21st pick we gave up for lehner. How anyone who knows hockey could not seen how good dylan larkin was before the draft is beyond me. Larkin was picked 5 before our 21st pick.

Wrong draft. Larkin was 2014, that pick for lehner was 2015

I simply keep looking at the standings.
And for 3 straight years all I have to do is keep looking at the bottom to find us.

While I completely agree with you on Whaley, I couldn't feel more the opposite about Murray. I predict you'll agree before too long.
