I certainly never over value.
I simply keep looking at the standings.
And for 3 straight years all I have to do is keep looking at the bottom to find us.
You're magnificent Tim Murray. - BuffaloHardHat
You do realize Murray has been GM for 2 years, correct?
Why do you have so many upset fans. As a follower of the Leafs it looks like your GM is making all the right moves. I wish the Leafs would commit to the same sort of rebuild. We will see . We have a bunch of pending UFA's we need to trade at the deadline. I feel I am looking at this impartially. I really do not comprehend . These fans will probably be slobbering all over your GM when all these moves result in many long playoff runs.

It just baffles me . Have they not looked at all the other rebuilds . Florida's is finally paying off after years it seems. Patience is the key . As far as your owner . How could you ask for any better . I have travelled to a few games and actually saw your Harbour Centre . Nothing else like that around . You ticket prices are way better than Toronto or Detroit . The your owner does not care if he looses money . He saved your pro franchises from eventually moving! Man some people just don't realize how good they have it.

First of all let's hear about how the Kane trade was bad. Which of those guys do you miss? Proven losers like Stafford/Myers or prospects who will never be that good, and are already replaced by our legion of high draft picks?
He had the balls and common sense to do what it took to get Eichel. There's a loophole for getting good in the NHL and NFL called tanking. All it costs you is a few years where you wouldn't have been very good anyway. God I wish the Bills would have done that instead of missing the playoffs 16 years straight.
How about the O'Reilly trade?
Moulson sucks....every GM makes terrible FA moves. We had to get to the floor and He won't affect our long term cap at all. Scored 2 free second rounders for him by the way.
Murray overpays in trades for who he wants without a doubt. I mean Fasching and Lehner better be good. But he does what it takes, and when you have an owner who keeps the payroll at 75 million instead of 55 you can afford to take some swings and misses.
Big budget teams like the Yankees have been doing it for decades because they can, and it works. Drives me crazy but somehow now Buffalo has been blessed with being able to spend 20% more than half the league. Time to Swing for the fences, because we get 4 pitches when most other teams only get 3. - tim212
Common misconception about Golisano. We were at or very near the cap for at least the last 4 or 5 years under him.
