Nope but I'd much rather have a bust draft pick than giving out a big contract or making a big trade giving up assets that doesn't work & you have little to nothing to show for it

I know about all of the above.

Flyers did really well last draft. Cap era, drafting efficiently is vital to stay competitive.

It's a good one, at the moment, but not every single prospect turns into a good NHL player.

Flyers have the benefit of already having terrific core NHLers. They're like the Ducks a few years back. They're not starting from nothing. So long as the right ones hit, if not all, they're a contender in a few years.

We can agree on that. Flyers are not far away from being strong again; as long as the current core stays strong and some of the kids mature into good NHL players, simultaneously.

what has happened to silky SO Giroux?

and only in the NHL can you crosscheck a guy in the neck and get 4 but throw a punch with your glove on and get a match penalty. wasn't here earlier on the previous thread but was it mentioned Simmonds should be suspended tomorrow if the game misconduct stands?

He has that double shift at the beginning with G and V, then as they went off he had to do that long back check, then led another rush and looked pretty winded on the bench the next time they were out on the ice.

I really think the ref thought he threw an elbow..the one camera angle they showed was from the same direction as the ref and it looked like that..with the benefit of other angles you can see it was a punch to the face. which happens a lot in hockey so the elbow theory is the only thing that makes sense to me as a match penalty

I really think the ref thought he threw an elbow..the one camera angle they showed was from the same direction as the ref and it looked like that..with the benefit of other angles you can see it was a punch to the face. which happens a lot in hockey so the elbow theory is the only thing that makes sense to me as a match penalty
