Farrish is their D coach this year, and as a Leafs fan you know all too well how terrible he is in his defensive zone deployment so you are not wrong.

He prides on shot blocking and its just junk.

Yeah its tight in the standings so can see him wanting two points bad.

And crap Farrish?! Yeah theres part of the problem right there. Know the Avs could use a boost on d but... Who the hell hired Farrish?!?! Damn.

The Jets and Avs are better than their standings' show. Especially the Jets, being tied for last. I started watching the flames/nucks for poopsn'giggles, but those team are both boring and not very good. Both of these teams are better, and at least the Avs are starting to show it with the wildcard spot.

Which leads me to question what is wrong with the jets? Yeah they play in the central, but a bunch of crap teams beat them at home recently. And a look at the roster, and then the standings; you have to be thinking "wtf?"

Jets been killing themselves a lot with early penalties. Plus goaltending has been a bit cold lately an no Pavelec.

Calgary is good but their goaltending is average. Nucks are well... Past their window I think. Rebuild time there.

Thats Pattys hire, he hasn't been a good fit. I like Roy as a coach for the most part, he is an ultimate motivator for his guys but he just needs better asst. coaches.

I really hope they review that next year, Roy just needs guys who can challenge him when it comes to systems. If they could snag Boucher for that role (as I think its the cop out of replacing Roy internally not firing him in time contingency plan)

hmm.. Just the last couple of games I have seen from the flames, and its a lot of boring neutral zone games. And blown chances. I hope this game goes to OT. It's been a great 2 periods (missed the 1st).

Yeah be a good proactive plan but really cant tell me they couldnt get better than Farrish. Course Allaire was Roys goalie coach too. Was not at all impressed with his work with the Leafs netminders either. Clean that up should help.

Like Roy though an off ice too with his guys he is good.

Yeah I caught the flames vs oilers not long ago an it was a good game but the goaltending just sucked. Speed an skill of both teams young guys was awesome though. Calgary fixes thegoaltending they would be a lot better I think.

Allaire is not bad, but they got burned by him with that Berra trade, he was the one that was very vocal that they get him since he was one of Allaires guys.

Berra isn't bad but don't let your goaltending coach get in the ear of your Vp of hockey Ops. He has done wonder with Varly and Pickard though so he does his job.

Yikes. Just yikes. Think thats done it now

And refs have lost control now.

As for Allaire yeah even Berra isnt bad as a backup really. Seems they are doing ok under him. Just know he didnt help who the Leafs had at all. Was pretty bad when he was there.

yup, its out of control. Jets are a notorious dirty team (one of the most penalized teams in the nhl for a few years now)...Avs don't take crap either, so its going to be even worse before the game is over

I like Buff but man does he get away with a lot of crap after the whistle, a few blatant punches to the face after the whistle and refs don't do anything.

Yeah thats the thing with Buff hecan be dominant butcan also be a bit detremental with cheap stuff. Half the time it getscalled and hurts his team! Still not a real fan of his but he plays a big game dirty or not

Jets are a bad dirty team, but coming in after being blown up last night you knew they were going to play better, but the avs have once again being playing sloppy hockey, Varly can't bail you out all the time. But the depth is starting to show its ugly colours. I think Roy should keep the landy-soderberg-Comeau lune as well has the grigs-mack-dutchy line. When they started cycling oh man they looked good! Sorry tosay but iggy and tangs show is ending. And it's killing our third line. The fourth with skille - mitchell - Cody mac is good and I like there energy. But that third line could cost us playoffs. Defense is not playing well either. I'm on the fence with barrie. Love him and his offense, but he needs that shutdown guy and holden isn't him. Beauch is starting to slow down a bit, age and minutes add up. Ej I'm expecting more. But all in all they need to play better. Yesterday was the prime time to smoke a down and out team on a back to back. Those two points were huge not to get. Hopefully they build off of this, show some energy, pride and continue on to win and get into the playoffs! I went into the season expecting second wildcard spot, let's go lock it up boys!!

Congrats on Duchesne scoring his first NHL goal. Always nice to see the excitement a player shows, as not knowing if they will ever score another goal in the league.
