I like how you ignore the fact that McDavid has a faceoff win percantage of 36.4% |

how's that guaranteed playoff spot looking? |

We will never see the game through the same lens James but I'll still read your work. You think critically, and for yourself and there just isn't enough of that around these days. You provide reasons for your opinions, albeit some not having anything to do with the point but are simply hilarious and that's cool too. Stay strong and mostly wrong brotha lol - Jakobe17
Much appreciated my man. |

James your the flyers gm. What moves do you look to make now and the deadline ?
Who you look to move or acquire ? - rinaldo
I don't know....the Flyers are going to be a real good team very soon. Maybe just wait it out? |

Maybe you ought to read about Mr. Cruz before you reveal your ignorance of US Politics. I support him and if he does not win I will likely support the person that beats him in the primary.
Sorry if that offends you. - jkumpire
It doesn't offend me as much as it horrifies me. |

It could be zero and it wouldn't make that much of a difference. |

There really aren't any good options but Trump and Cruz are definitely better choices than Sanders. |

PLUS: Connor McDavid. So it is not even up for debate: he's the best hockey player in the world.
Really? I didn't get much further than this, although I do agree challenges suck. You've got Toews, Ovechkin (looks pretty unreal still), Kane (one of the best seasons I've seen in years), Crosby (16 goals in 18 games I believe he still has it), Kopitar, Benn, Seguin...and many more I may be missing. Give him some time.
Also, the hype over the goal is too much. I'd say I'm biased because I watch Crosby and Malkin, however I've also seen those two do amazing things for years on a regular basis. That said, the Ovie goal where he was on his back still gets my vote. Additionaly, there have been tons of one on 2,3, even 4 goals that are just as amazing every year. |

100% agree on the BS concussion lawsuits. What's next? Suing over sprained ankles and broken pinky fingers. Like you said, if these players don't understand that hockey is dangerous then I don't understand how Darwinism hasn't already taken care of them. - Allan Bester
The problem is that they were told that there was no reason to worry... just how we used to hear that 8 out of 10 doctors smoked Camel cigarettes... knowledge is cumulative, but we can't look back and judge their opinions when they didn't have the same info that we do now.
The problem came from times that a coach slaps someone on the back and puts them back into the game, as concussed people do not make rational and informed choices and therefore do not know better. |

So we're still just cherrypicking stats we like and zipping by those we don't?

When does Tanner himself make the minus list? How about that team with the most talent in the NHL. They surely are going to make the playoffs this year...... just like the previous 9 seasons |

Not to get into politics, really, but that is just factually wrong. One guy wants to attempt to fight the two greatest issues of our time - income disparity and the environment - while the other two deny that those are even problems while spouting racist rhetoric and doing everything they can to scare and cajole people into further support of billionaires - ironic since it is the poorest and least educated who make up the biggegst faction of their supporters.

Cool. - jackzack87
What do you want? For all stats to have an equal weight? They obviously don't.
Faceoffs objectively have very little impact in a game. Other stats have much higher impacts. I wouldn't call paying more attention to the ones that have been proven to correlate to winning "cherry picking." I'd call it intelligent analysis. |

That is factually, empirically, objectively and un-equivalently false. |

come to think of it, james is great at predicting the future. Just take the opposite of his predictions and he's always right. Coyotes guaranteed to make the playoffs last year (2nd last). Oilers guarantee to make the playoffs this year (currently 2nd last) |

McJesus is -3 in his last 2 games, losses of 5-1 & 8-1. Looks like he's adapting to that Oiler 'style' of play.
Mr. Toews is not concerned. |

Yes the part of the game that decides who gains possesion is not important... Please resign now. You know absolutely nothing. A defensive face off win allows the defensive team to transition to offense and an offensive face off win allows the offensive team to generate a scoring chance but yea that isnt important...... |

Yeah your right Vermette's 58.7% on FO in the playoffs last season was meaningless..... |
