Need to sign Risto 5-6.5 million a year for a long contract. Have question marks on RFA's Girgensons, Folgino, Larsson, McCabe.
Would love to trade Moulson to a team in need of cap space like Columbus and Arizona graciously have done in the past for other teams. |

Moulson might do it. If we wait till the off season.
Moulson knows he's playing awful, when the roster is healthy he's not getting more than 7 minutes a game, Bylsma is getting very sick of him and he probably realizes he could use a fresh start. If the right offer comes maybe Moulson will take it. |

I think all we can hope for is either an expansion draft or he retires. |

Wait... How does sending Moulson to a team like Arizona free up cap space for them? They take on his bad contract at 5 per for the next three years. What would be an example of assets coming back to us that would make this work? |

I'm really curious to know what happened to precipitate that. I'm sure the 2-0 thing after the second fight didn't help, but the fact that they fought like 2 minutes after getting out of the box the first time is strange enough especially for two guys not exactly known for fighting. And the fact that it kept getting worse for Petrovic was hilarious. And Kane kept throwing them even when they went down. There's something there. Maybe the first time it was to fire the team up but after that and Petrovic said something after the first fight, then the 2-0 after the second, but then he just plain got his ass kicked. |

I think he means look for a team that needs to add cap to stay above the floor |

The Panthers took Campbell on largely because he had a huge salary and they needed to get to the cap floor. The same for the Blue Jackets and Clarkson and the same for the Coyotes and Pronger. We'd offload Moulson to some team that needs to get to the floor, but those teams aren't really out there at the moment. Winnipeg, the team with the most cap space is ~$7 million over the cap floor. |

I can't believe we're stuck with Bogosian till 2020... He's going to be the next Weber after Weber leaves. - bluengold12

But how do you do this with a guy who has an NTC? Threaten to buy him out or send him to the minors? I get the "cap game" aspect of it, but he/his agent negotiated a NTC for some reason. And i would assume that reason was to not be moved.
Im actually reallly surprised GMTM gave Moulson term, good money and a NTC. But, he did. So now what? He can find a "tank team" in dire need of some cap to fill, but if Moulson doesnt want to go there, its moot.

Except the Rangers could bury all $6 whatever million. Now, we can only bury $950,000 of his eleventy billion dollar salary. So we'd still have ~$4 million cap hit. |

Hello there people..... Not for nothing but WHAT A FRIGGING DISAPPOINTMENT. I thought the Sabres would at least be 40 points better this season...... This team really does not impress me one bit... |
