Armia is having a tough run of it in WPG. Didn't realize he is on their 3rd line RW now for 22 games.
2 G and 1 A. - JVince11
Another one I had high hopes for. This was supposed to be the year he made the jump and did something. Maybe he needs a year of learning the NHL before he can contribute but, man, he's taking his time. |

Between Guhle, McCabe, and Pysyk.. to go along with Risto... we will have a solid top 4 with a veteran or two added in.
I like Yandle or Demers in the UFA pool this year. - JVince11
We have no idea if any of those three will be a legit top 4 guy. We can hope, but to pencil them in already is a bit much. |

Bylsma - Hey ROR and Reinhart have been working great togehter.
Well we cant have that.
I think our coach is an idiot. - ImThatGuy
Feel like he's trying to get Kane going. Everyone who plays next to ROR plays well, but if we can get 2 lines going plus Eichel on another it could help.
Besides, knowing Bylsma he'll switch the lines within 3 shifts. Was my least favorite thing about Ruff |

Agreed. I really think things will fall into place on the back end in due time. Some added scoring from back there (and some help for Ristolainen) will really help. But before we can expect to be dangerous come March we still need another top 6 forward that can score 5v5 |

Gotta have 4 lines and two possible centers are out. Skunk is /should be one of our top centers long-term anyway.
Now if you want to discuss shootout choices.... |

wait i remember us getting a first rounder for a 3rd line C not all that long ago...
Edit: to be fair it was him and a 4th - Havic3814
Man, I can't wait until the day when I can come in here and not read about how gaustad was trading for a 1st when someone is trying to justify their unlikely trade sceraniro. |

I agree with this... If we are going to play strong hockey.. we need our best winger to play like he has been as of late.
I hope Ennis comes back soon too. |

That does not explain Delauries on line 1 and Gionta on line 2.
You want to see with theses call ups have put them ahead of those two.
Bailey should be playing up on line 2-3. Same with Cat. See what these kids have. |

Like it or not you can't play the call up guy below the captain. |

I wouldn't have Deslauriers on the first line either, but him and O'Reilly did play together for a short stretch early on in the season and had some chemistry. |

Adding to this. The most consistent line plays together 7% of the time.
No other team is below 10%.
That is huge!
You want chemistry, leave your effing lines together for awhile you idiot. - ImThatGuy
I agree. I like the coach that leaves players together even if they're not doing well at that point. Let them work through it. I don't think it's the end of the world, but it definitely makes more sense to me.
Off topic, Sam and Eichel have the same amount of goals. If Sam finishes with more, does he make Jack expendable? |

Well the main difference is, the lines from Edm and Chi have consistently produced. Our lines have been fairly inconsistent with production. |

Once he finally seemed to find guys that worked well together, someone would get hurt and that's caused the entire thing to shuffle around again. I said that earlier. It never fails. They get lines that are clicking, and then someone gets hurt and we have to start all over. |

oh yea its like a daily occurrence....
it was said 3rd line C's don't garner anything worth while and if people don't consider 1st rounders worth while then I admit I'm confused |

HE IS INJURY PRONE
sell high
sell

sell - homiedclown
He gets nicked up a lot and had the unfortunate stress fracture last year. But he's still managed to play in 81% of the Sabres games over the last 3 years. That's not too bad for a guy with his style. And other than the broken leg last year, when he gets nicked up he only misses a handful of games. Granted we don't know what this new injury is, so it's a bit up in the air, but he plays in more games then I think a lot of people think he does. It's like saying Sammy Watkins is injury prone; yet he's played in 91% of possible games in his NFL career. |

that was special circumstance- nashville was looking at losing suter to free agency, the stars all lined up just right for poile to feel like he had to overpay for a third line center. if one was so inclined to suggest that gaustad should have been moved for whatever the best pick offered- one day after miller got steam rolled by lucic, i wouldnt stand in their way. either way, gaustad and a fourth for a mid first is an unreasonable return that should not be expected. |

Not really a demotion when he is getting to play against EVERY team's top line and is viewed as our shut down line. He is one of the most important players and plays one of the most important roles on this team.

They thought he might be OK for Tuesday's game when he missed practice Monday. He wasn't. In order to make room for someone in case one of him or Larsson needed to miss today, they ended up putting him on IR so they could recall Bailey. That tells me they thought maybe Larsson could go, but they weren't sure an wanted the extra body. It sucks because now Girgs has to be out at least 7 days. |
