May not be such a bad night after all, Columbus came back to win and Toronto is playing Edmonton, hopefully they can have a three point game.

I'd love to make like the Oilers and win the lottery this year.

And they're going to end up being great for a long time as a result of it. My point was they've had some good luck in the lottery. I would like that for this team.

I would like to know which game were you watching?!?!
This team TOTALLY quit.

- Sabresfan88

I wouldn't say they quit, because you actually have to do something in order to stop doing it. They played well for like 7 minutes. Then woke up after the hit so McCabe could fight Gudas, and then they didn't do a damn thing about it.

With what like 27 games left are you hoping for a cup run? What's best for the team is to sell and draft high. We're too young of a team to be consistently making noise right now. The last thing I want to see after more than 30 years of watching this team virtually go nowhere is more mediocrity. Matthews, Puljujarvi, or Laine will help this new core team big time. Tank on, suffer now, celebrate later.

OK.
I guess we all see things differently.
And, that is just fine.

I see everyone is embracing their inner coocoo for puju, playing with no spine for laine, and icing statues for matthews

Murray lied when he said two drafts and im not mad at him, it was appeasement talk just like talking playoffs at the beginning of this year was. I think bylsma is fully on board, and as someone mentioned definitely isnt coaching for his job.

I will freak out if this is the way things unfold next year. Bylsma should be on the hot seat opening night of next season.

- ieetbred

He never talked about the playoffs except to say to fans don't think they're making it this year, they have to get a lot better still, both he and Bylsma said the before the season.

Lehner crashing back down to earth has been the biggest negative these last two games.

It sounds good.
Hey, I am all for this team getting better.
I just hope it materializes at some point, before we all DIE.

True. I never believed it would take two drafts to completely rebuild a team, I figured at least three to rebuild, and one more to restock the cupboard. I would like to see them out of the basement next year and hopefully maybe being a bubble team. But for now, taking great shot at Matthews or one of the two Finns, or putting a string of worthless wins together. I'll take the high draft pick, we still have holes to fill on this roster.

Why do you think we have holes in this roster to begin with?!?!
I think it's our GM pretty much depleting this team's young prospects last year for Lehner and Kane, whom are at best average players right now, with hoping of becoming great; and that is not guaranteed.

Big hit, big fight, an assist. He wore the A for Wisconsin and C for US when they won gold.

Just thinking out loud here but I wouldn't rule it out at the NHL level.

Bob Mckenzie thinks that Stamkos's #1 destination would be Buffalo. I'm not holding my breath, but it would be nice.

They would have holes either way. If he doesn't make those trades the team is probably still bad. In any scenario a rebuilding team is still bad at this stage. It's whether they can eventually put together a real winner that should be debated.

Still a good thing, we would want the Leafs to pay as much as possible.
