He has improved a lot the last two years years. Will never be a speedster but he is shifty. Defensive game has gone from a liability to a non-concern. But being on smaller side and not more than average skater is tough in long haul. Some guys have done it and had long NHL careers but majority find it tough to stick long haul. - bmeltzer
Can cousins improve in this area of skating? Can he go to a power skating coach or speed coach? OR is what it is at this point? |

I wonder how many games that goal Umberger scored buys him. Probably at least 5. - PLindbergh31
Hell. That just bought him the rest of the season.

He'll have to work really hard at it, but its not impossible.
One of the biggest knocks on Tavares was his skating. He just wasnt that great.. Now, his skating is above average. Guys can improve, but its not the easiest thing to do. |

Gudas seems to be getting more and more reckless. I didn't like that last hit at all. You're not proving anything there. Totally predatory. I didn't think this guy was a guy to label as a predatory hitter for most of this year but these last few weeks have changed my mind. Most of his hits are garbage and I wouldn't care if he got tuned up. - Just5
That hit was as gudas it gets |

If the Foligno brothers had a different last name, they wouldn't have made it past the AHL. They both suck. |

4 points out of the last wildcard spot. Not impossible, but there is a big logjam there. Flyers really need to go on a big winning streak here to have a shot. |

I agree he needs to be smarter but that last one was tough as he was going for the hit and the guy started to go down a little. |

But after watching a few times, the guy was tied up and it was a bit unnecessary for a few minutes left in a 5-1 game. I agree that guys should be keeping their head up, but it's also a time and place situation. |

Great scouting by the way. Foligno can play. Nice cheapshot artist player in Gudas by the way. He should have been penalized instead of Foligno for sticking his leg out! What a bunch of homer officiating last night in Philly. Was totally ridiculous. |

Yeah the game really would've turned around if the Sabres got their 7th and 8th power play of the night |

No, they both suck.
The best Marcus Foligno looked last night was when he jumped out of the way of that Gudas hit. That dude can't play, got lit up, and was pissed about it. (frank) that guy.
And then to mouth off after the game. Marcus Foligno is awesome.

Yeah you should have had at least 10 2 minute power plays and an additional 5 minute major PP.

Need to beat the Devils. That's a 4 point game. A win against the rangers is just as important to the Flyers, even though they won't catch the rangers. They need to win that to stay alive AND for pride. You know Simmonds is getting challenged the first time he hits the ice. |

Sorry, Dylan Larkin and Artemi Panarin. No way they are winning the Calder with McJesus playing like this; even in half a season. |

Yah I believe Glass has said he will. However, this does nothing for the flyers. Losing Simmonds for 5 min at least and rangers losing Glass for 5 minutes is a horrible trade off. Simmonds should ignore him. If say a top line player wants to go with Simmonds Id be more ok with that trade off. But not with Glass. |
