No he is right. McDavid is in a class all of his own.
its pretty clear to most. The only people it is not clear to are Sabres fans who are still grasping at straws that Eichel is better because we lost the lottery and were rewarded him. - ImThatGuy

I hope so because those other Marvel movies are huge steaming piles. - BINGO!
Disagree strongly as both Captain America movies have been tremendous and the third one looks very good so far. |

You're obviously not getting it McDavid is in its own class and so is Jack those two will be one and two in the NHL for a decade probably - gerbe75pts
But McDavid is still light years better than Eichel |

I hate literally everything about Captain America. His very existence is irritating. |

Im confused You said "No your're wrong" to the comment Jack is not in McDavid's class? - ImThatGuy
Jack isn't in McDavids class. Think of him as the Lemieux to McDavids Gretzky. Both are superstars but Gretzky was Ina league of his own |

This was actually my first choice, something around our top pick and maybe a roster player for Lindholm and a roster player from them. I question that given who his agent is but I think it would be perfect for us.
Right age, excellent defensively with offensive upside and you'd have the chance to lock him up with a long term cap friendly deal.
And fwiw, I have heard that he is indeed available (Lindholm) - Sabresfan-365
2016 first + What??

you're saying mcDavid's clearly the better player overall at every category and I don't buy it how about you judge Jack when he actually gets some line mates and not bums that can't score
And I'm going to be that guy do you understand how many points he would actually have if half our team can score on the passes he gives it's unbelievable he could have a 4 point each game don't lie to me |

The 2 Finland players could go first overall that's how close they are both to Matthews

You don't give puluarvi enough credit. I wanted Draisatil > Reinhart two years ago and although Laine has more offensive flash he's inconsistent. Puliuarvi isn't as flashy but he's a fantastic play maker and just scores a different way. 17 pts in world juniors and played as an underage player the year prior. Good production in men's league in Finland - Pegullaville
I'll admit I don't know too much about Puliuarvi. Just what I've seen plus what I've heard others say. |

4.29 P/60...... Enough said. If McJesus was healthy this year he would of been the best player (not rookie) in the league. |

On the draft special on TSN Bob Mackenzie said scouts had Matthews as unanimous number 1. I think maybe 1 had Laine as number 1 but Laine was unquestioned number 2. |

McDavid would probably have Gionta and Moulson and 15-20 a piece on this team. |

I don't buy it. If we win that lottery, we never talk about Eichel, ever. He is never even a thought process in our minds as to "What would it have been"
Eichel has struggled at times this season, like right now. He is not a bad player. He is going to be very, very good. But he cannot touch McDavid right now. Dont give me that crap about line mates either. McDavid creates on his own, regardless of who is playing next to him. |

You cannot prove Jack would have anything? So debate your "What ifs" all you want. We are not saying Jack is bad calm yourself, just that McDavid is superior to him. |

Take off your homer glasses. If you were an Oil fan, or if Jack wasn't on our team, you would hands down say that McDavid is worlds ahead of Jack. Connor will be the best player in the league next year. And it won't be close. |

boo hoo I would have not cried I would have been happy with either or I'll tell you what how about you judge Jack when he actually gets line mates how about that and then you can say O Connor McDavid is the greatest thing ever since God and slice bread how about that how about you wait until you get some linemates then we'll see what he can do |

I agree McDavid is other worldy and would likely be playing with Kane and Ennis (When healthy) on a line. To play devils advocate though I've watched at least TEN times this year where Eichel set up Gionta, Moulson, Folgino etc. etc. etc. and they couldn't put in an easy goal. I fully believe Eichel would have AT LEAST ten more points this year with players capable of finishing a play. Not even great players but average to slightly above it. |

Exactly. Last night he had 5 points both his wingers (not named Hall mind you) had 4 each. He creates scoring. Jack will be a very good player. Connor will be the best player in the league and of this generation. |

You start a franchise today.
Who do you choose and why?
Eichel
or
McDavid
The only people who say Eichel are Sabres fans that are still grasping that losing the lottery didnt create that much of a drop off.
Eichel will be very good, And most likely even better with real line mates. McDavid is also going to improve as well. Which is crazy scary for what he has already done. |

I 100% agree Jack would have 10-15 more points if guys could finish. But its not even all about stats. Just watching the 2 play, its not close. Jack does some great things sometimes. has some good plays. Other times looks completely lost. Connor looks like the best player in the league almost every time he touches the ice. |
