Given minutes, offensive zone starts, and line mates, I think Larsson could be a 10-15 goal guy if he were put in better situations, we saw it last year. But, right now if we can gain assets by moving him while at the same time bring in Rochester guys who can do just as well. Well, than its win/win for us.

I agree, but think Girgensons is more effective at wing and in the top 6. I guess we'll have to wait and see what Tim thinks.

Think about this . I like girgensons,but his style will always get him injured. He has missed a lot of games in less then 3 years. Would you trade him for drouin? We will get a top 5 pick this year to add.drouin with reinhart Eichel Oreilly to build around. Or put him in a package with Ennis for a bigger fish

I would trade Girgensons in a package for Drouin, but it depends on what goes with him. If we do trade Girgensons and Larsson it opens up a pretty big hole on the 3rd line.

Maybe a guy like Henrik Samuelsson who has had a tough time breaking through.

Absolutely. Shut down guys are tough to fine, but not as tough to fine as a top six goal scorer or a top pair defensemen. If Ennis and Grigs can fill those holes in the roster, move them. Someone in our system can be groomed as our next quality shut down center.

That's my point, he hasn't really hit homeruns with those trades yet. He hasn't lost either IMO, but by next year we should have a better grasp on how those trades are panning out. If they prove to be failures, then add to it a swing and a miss with Drouin, and it might be out the door time for him.

If you sign Stamkos you move ROR to wing and the Top 5 pick is a Dman.

I think that's a 5 year plan, and I think Murrays moving faster than that. Plus, we won't get Stamkos. ROR doesn't want to play wing.

The problem is he did miss on a few trades. That is why we are struggling. Tim murray doesn't have more years. He needs to show a lot of improvement next year or he will be gone. They need to be fighting late in the season for a playoff spot next season
