Ghost is so much better than the rest of the Flyers D corps it hurts. MDZ has been pretty solid. Streit has been a strong player since he got here and was a good signing by Homer, but he does not look like the same guy since coming back from surgery. The rest I can't even look at.
NHL officiating seems to be getting worse with each passing game, but it's not their fault the Flyers can't score. - ChoclitLeClair
If streit was on a contender he'd be playing much better |

Streit doesn't look like himself at all.
Say what you want about officiating but it has nothing to do with why they lost today IMO |

we are. it's just torture having to wait for it. it seems like we've been in this place for 5 years.
gost is a godsend. they were unwatchable before his arrival. as good as g and jake are, it's not enough. simmonds, schenn, and couts are obviously the other good part, but while they've all done well at times, it hasn't been consistent enoug, and couts has been injured twice now. the d is not nearly good enough.
2-3 years they will be a vastly different team. i just don't want to wait that long. - hammarby31
So let's (frank)ing tank and get some elite talent players and get out of this purgatory poop |

Ideally Streit is a complementary 2nd pairing/PP specialist guy so yeah he would be better playing on a contender with a deep blue line |

Two marginal playoff teams, game was like watching paint dry, devils win because of better goaltending. the only good thing about this game was watching blandisi and the ghost, at least both teams seem to have some young exciting players in the pipeline? - devfan30
I can agree except for the better goaltending.
Schneider was very good today but I'm not sure the Devils won because he was better the Neuvirth. |

neuvirth played well obviously? the few saves i saw him make were all solid. wasted performance. i knew they were going to waste goals vs. the sabres. |

I actually think you'll start to see major changes next year. Konecny, Provorov, Morin and Sanehim will all be close or ready at some point next season. |

The problem is until last year I didn't feel like there was much of a plan. Now suddenly we have all of these prospects and a new young coach. I'm finally hopeful but it better (frank)ing pay off |

Without MDZ and Couts, and G and Jake tired, tomorrow should be a ball of fun. |

Which means s why I think he's still very valuable at the tdl even with another year on his contract |

Yup. And the flyers were horrible in the first period. Like 2 shots on goal |

1st if a team is super desperate but more realistically I think a 2nd and prospect or 2nd and 3rd/4th would be the expected return |

i think morin is probably another year - or will at least get a look later in the season. sanheim is probably 2 years. provorov and konecny i think will make it. |

I thought goaltending was a factor. First goal on Neuvirth was bad and Schneider was outstanding |

it's not them this year. too many other squandered points. it's not for a lack of trying. they've lost a ton of 1 goal games in regulation and in the extra session. they literally need to turn over half the roster. |

All I hope for out of tomorrow is Simmonds beating whoever challenges him to a pulp. Would also be amazing if a ranger gets ejected going after a flyer.
Edit: I hope for gudas to knock someone into next Tuesday, a rather retaliate and it's the ranger that gets tossed and suspended. It would make for an enjoyable read in the rags blog |
