i think morin is probably another year - or will at least get a look later in the season. sanheim is probably 2 years. provorov and konecny i think will make it.
- hammarby31

Provorov is currently destroying the WHL and Konecny the OHL so yah I think they have a great shot next year. Morin still learning how to use his size and body but trending steadily upwards.

I thought goaltending was a factor. First goal on Neuvirth was bad and Schneider was outstanding
- PhillySportsGuy

i didn't see it, so i can't comment, but even if that's the case, if you give up only 1 in regulation, you're doing it right. and should probably win. he hasn't played in what, 2 weeks or more?

i'm not blaming a 1 goal regulation tally on the goalie for why they lost the game.

i'm very high on morin. i think the patience approach with him is particularly important, especially at where he was drafted. they have to get value out of him.

All I hope for out of tomorrow is Simmonds beating whoever challenges him to a pulp. Would also be amazing if a ranger gets ejected going after a flyer.

Edit: I hope for gudas to knock someone into next Tuesday, a rather retaliate and it's the ranger that gets tossed and suspended. It would make for an enjoyable read in the rags blog

- funmaster18

both of these things would be fine

I would like to see Cryer destroyed, goalie running pos

i could be wrong. i would like for him to be ready, truly ready, out of camp or very early in the season. we need size and something nasty back there.

I'm not blaming Neuvirth. I'm more giving Schneider credit for being great. Schneider is easily a top 5 goalie in the league. I would say definitely top 4 without much argument.

Morin is one of those guys who is either going to be a beast or a pretty big disappointment. Thankfully he wasn't drafted like top 5 or anything where there would be more pressure. Shades of Luke Schenn.

I'm sure he'd like it back but I've seen a lot worse.

But for that, Neuvirth was more than solid. I can't say the goaltending was a factor this afternoon. You need to score more than one goal in a game to have a chance of winning.

Flyers sucked team wide period #1. The first NJ goal was piss poor PKing (several failed clears of course led up to) a weak goal let by Neuvirth

Period # 2 they were much better, and that was where Schneider won the game for NJ

Period #3 NJ had like 1 shot on goal through the first 14 minutes, so again Schneider keeping them in it

i don't watch the devils for obvious reasons, so i don't have much to say about him. i know he's had very good numbers this year and i hear others repeat what you've said.

Couple weeks ago I wrote that there are 2 players the flyers absolutely can not afford to lose. Coots and MDZ.

It's so done. This is actually somewhat exciting it is going to go south fast. Visions of finns in my head

Difference is that Ghost is a much headier player. He sees the ice in ways that Morin probably can't even imagine. Ghost also has that speed and quick first steps. Morin can motor but his first few steps are still awkward since he's so (frank)ing massive for a kid.

I think theres no question Morin and Sanheim start in the AHL. I just think Morin will be playing in the NHL at some point next season. Sanheim maybe. Hexy isn't going to go into next season with either of those guys having a real shot. He'll have 7 defenseman ahead of them and hope to be "surprised" out of camp.

today he was very calm, made every save look easy, great positioning, very very few rebounds

he looked every bit a top 5 goalie
