Once the Flyers fill out the roster with puck moving defenseman, they'll play better against the Devils. They just can't move the puck through the neutral zone with speed. Broadcasters keep calling for more dump ins, but that really just hands the puck right over to the Devils.

Coaches would rather die from millions of paper cuts than one shot to the head.

I can't find any rhyme or reason for the scratches. I like the style of play the Flyers are trying to incorporate, but Hakstol's scratchings or more baffling than Berube's. Read has clearly been one of the 9 best forwards this season. You could argue one of the top 6, but he sits when guys like VDV, White, Umberger and PEB continue to struggle and none of them are part of future, so development isn't a worry.

Damn that was a hard shot......That could be a broken jaw..
