Bogosian was good on the last PK and once in a while has a good defensive play but the fact is he's last on the team with a -21

You're the one who nitpicked about Bogo on the Col goal. All I posted was he made a nice defensive play on the 5 on 3 to clear the zone. That's all. Bogo hasn't been that good but I don't want to send him to purgatory like you do. It is what it is this season, slow progress. And I like Kane, have since he got here. These players aren't Gretzky or Orr.

Don't disagree... But please let dreams of Stamkos die. We are deep at Center don't need another.

We need high end sniper wing and LHD.

Let's let all the other teams get dumb about Stamkos and take advantage of that distraction to purchase in our real areas of need.

Except he did. it was the tsn quiz panel not an insider segment. He had to choose a team that hadn't already been picked. Said as much on twitter.

Listen, I love how he's playing, but his last 3 goals have been an empty netter that hit a ref, wrist shot from the point that got a goalie pulled, and a Markov turnover where he was alone in front for a tap in.

Just saying he's got a little lucky lately

I'm fine if.the Sabres don't get Stamkos ... it.isn't what he was before the injury...and lets.bid him up to screw.the Laffs...my be we could get Mariner out.of them then...I know, I know...he's young and cheap...but.one can dream!

If it's for a year or 2, ok
But I'm not taking up roster spot that can be filled by a guy like Bailey
And I'm not spending 4mil (or even 3.5mil) if there's a chance we can use that $$$ towards Stamkos (or another top player)
He's a nice role player, but there are other guys who provide what he does
They aren't the exact player,
But we have plenty of toughness & leadership throughout the lineup
Not that u can't always use more...
But we should be putting our $$$ towards a top pair defenseman & a scorer
Those are our biggest needs

Agreed ! Someone is going to overpay Stamkos big time and I hopes its the Leafs.
This team needs to fix their defense 1st. If TM is gonna pay a ton for a player then grab a stud on the blue line.

You wouldn't trade out Bogosian and McGinn for Stamkos? That's close to 10 mil right there that you could use to pay a 40 goal scorer in his prime

It is mind-numbing and boggling how blowhard some NHL analysts and mainly Canadians ones are about anointing McDavid the next Crosby and Gretzky after 20 games when he has already missed 34.

Also, how far they think the gap is between McDavid and Eichel, Larkin, Domi, Reinhart, etc. Not nearly as wide as they think.

Gare Joyce even said that he thinks every GM would take McDavid instead of having BOTH Eichel & Larkin on their team.

Ahhhh.... Ovechkin, Weber, Subban, Lundqvist, Perry, Getzlaf, & Giroux are all top 10 paid guys without rings.

I'd love Stamkos but I like ROR and Eichel at 1C and 2C. ROR said he doesn't want to play wing and neither does Stamkos

I would trade out mcginn and bogo for a 7-10 mil dollar player, im just not sure id do it for Stamkos specifically.

Have they learned nothing from the babcock fiasco? Should go all in on someone they have a shot at, or at least tamper and figure out if you have shot with stamkos (everyone does it, just dont get caught).

But Babcock won before. So things like location and where his wife wanted to be is probably easier to make a priority.

I don't know, I am not hopeful, but I absolutely would go after him.

I also believe that either Stamkos or O'Reilly would have no issues moving to wing if it meant being cup contenders
