I actually had a Flyers fan tell me on Twitter that besides Karlsson that Ghost was the best offensive D-Men in the entire NHL.

I about ate a hobo's shoe.

Oh brother
Dude has played about 40 games...
He's been great, but far from proven
Small sample size

And the most important part of being a defenseman (for me anyways), has always been about the DEFENSE

Ps...
Twitter battles with Philly fans?
Don't waste your time, lol

Isn't Guhle supposed to have a huge offensive upside???
- JVince11

The other kid is the offensive one.... can't rememeber the name right now. Played on the juniors team this year and had pretty good production. Will something?

That's where Ennis could help. He is good at backing teams down and gaining the zone. Except when he's playing like a half wit
- sbroads24

By half wit you mean getting into the zone, only to lose the puck the instant he tries to get cute?

He did pull an amazing one (can't remember which game) this year in OT when he came in with speed, juked a bit, then dished to someone for the game winner in the slot. Other wise his play this year has been severely lacking, when he's managed to be on the ice.

We'll see...
Offense from Juniors often doesn't translate to the Pros
A guy like Leduc was super talented offensively, but struggled with defense so much he's been stuck in Rochester. And his offensive output hasn't been what at one time was expected either.
It's kinda hard to project out for most defensemen IMO

Not him either, they are both defence first (although maybe more offenisve than Guhle)

Best offensive d-man in the system is Brycen Martin.

You can judge'em by style of play but you're right offence can sometimes disappear once they leave juniors. The quality of the league, team and age can effect the numbers they put up in the chl/ncaa

Although I don't expect him to be they type of offensive defenseman ppl are talking about. I wanna say he's got like 5 goals this year.

close, he's got 6

24 pts in 25 games with swift current

offensive game has dipped post trade (i think less ice time, more defensive work)

10 pts in 32 games with Everett

This could obviously change between now and if/when they make the nhl but right now thats how its looking.

The one thing they all have in common is great skating, which is a plus.

But even then,
Guys with a particular style don't always fall into that "role" in the pros either
A guy like Sekera for us would be a good example of what I mean
Nice offensive talent, but had such defensive inconsistencies that he never really got the prime minutes and little pp time to actually showcase those skills.
And once he did, he had that mentality not to screw up in his own end or take chances that he lost a lot of his "offensive" game

Look how long it took Campbell how to figure it out

It's just a really tough thing to project IMO

Haven't seen him lately
I work a lot of Sunday mornings & usually out the NHL network on for the Junior game they showcase every week

I'm not expecting much from Martin offensively, IF he ever even plays for us
He needs time in the AHL for sure

Even if u subbed in one of the Fins, that's too much for the Oilers to give up

I have just never loved any of their players... I liked Tinordi mainly for his size.

They have probably a bottom 10 prospect pool in all of Hockey IMO.

I do like Fucale, McCarron, and De la Rose but I wouldn't trade a ton for them.

Juulsen, Dietz, and Thrower are solid defensive prospects for sure.
