I'd like to but no HBO. The subject interests me. Thought I just read they ordered a second season. Hope it's done well so I can enjoy it in three years on Netflix.

Weird in a good way?

Hehe. I should have known better. Does he stink like Sam, like lehner, like Kane or like Weber?
- Pope of Pucks

I think it's more stink like foligno

10 games a year that makes you think he should be so much more on a regular basis, and 50 games a year when you want him off your roster

Moderate Exercise and Cognitive Rest May be the Best Combo for Treating a Concussion

"Moderate exercise may help to restore the balance of the brain’s auto-regulation mechanism, which controls the blood pressure and supply to the brain according to Karl Kozlowski, Ph.D., assistant professor of kinesiology at Canisius College, and lead author of the study."

I am no expert, but I have had at least 5 concussions, 2 of which where really bad, 1 of which I blacked out and fainted on the field.

I know when I had a couple of mine, some basic movement would make me want to vomit, I dont know how I would be able to do exercise.

I think both of them need to be called out in the locker room. Not a talent issue. Both have become used to losing and it's tough to play to win. When you comfortable losing.

Back on the ice at practice today per TBN. Nasty cut on his face. Franson did not practice today.

He tried to trade back into the first round for larkin, not at 2nd overall.
- Sabresfan-365

I believe it was Larkin, but I don't think that was ever confirmed that Larkin was the guy he wanted. It could have been Fabbri or Tuch. They were all picked in that area that Murray said he targeted

So how does this team move on from Bogo?

Pysyk is starting to look like a competent top 4 guy, and I believe McCabe is continuing to improve.

I think we'd all agree we need a #2 guy next to Risto.

Would it he worth it to retain 1 mil in salary and target a team like Colorado who desperately needs guys behind Barrie and Johnson?

I think it was larkin because he targeted him when he was moving Myers.

One for one with another team that has the forward version of him, then stick that forward with eichel.

Edit: Or could be part of the deal to land a top pairing D. May have to take a contract back though.

McCabehas played better than Pysyk all year. And I don't know if stats are really the way to capture and measure Bogo's game.

The eye test doesn't do him any favours either. The cap hit is the final nail in the coffin.

Exactly my issue with yet another tank. I want to become used to winning. This team seems to have found a little bit (stress little) of mojo, but I doubt anyone in our locker room has any false sense of being great yet.

I also am not sure we need to "move on from Bogo". He seems to be getting more comfy in keeping the front of the net clear, and I noticed him making (mostly) smart passes out of our zone lately. His iq may not be off the charts but unless he's moved in a package for a bonafide left top-pair guy I like keeping him.

ANd I just LOVED how Eichel jumped into the fray after the douche hit on Bogo. He wont intimidate anyone but at least he will stick up for his team. Same with Sugar Ray Lehner.

It's a simple #'s game.

He's not good enough to be on the top pair. Pysyk and McCabe have at the very least been equal to him so far this year. The two of them combined will probably make less than half of what Bogo is being paid next year.

Yeah, here's what I think. While it's unlikely any of us has a clue about what's inside Darcy's head, and things like the salary cap, NTCs/NMCs, and the declining economy's impact on future revenues make it nearly impossible to trade anyone of any significance, it's not inconceivable that the Sabres could make a mid-season move.

Vanek, Roy, Miller, Pommer are probably not on the block since they represent the young core of this team and are all locked up long-term. We all know Vanek's contract is insane, but given the length and amount of the others, it seems unlikely to me there's a better deal out there. Remember Larry Quinn is a numbers guy, and 5 mil 6 years from now will be looking pretty good. Roy's deal is an especially favorable one for the club. You might even be able to throw Goose into this category b/c his value to the Sabres is high given his hustle and toughness.

Max, Kotalik, and Connolly are popular choices for a change of venue, but their UFA status would mean they'd need to go to a contender for the receiving team to be willing to assume the risk. That said, what's the likelihood of a contender sending the Sabres something worthy of a blockbuster? That's not even taking into account Max sucking for the last 2 years, Kotalik getting a reputation of being lazy, and (Tin) Connolly being more fragile than the leg lamp in A Christmas Story. This, coming from the guy who actually owns a Connolly jersey.

As far as young talent at forward goes, Stafford, MacArthur, Paille are the only roster players in that category. They're all tradable, but not enough to bring in an impact player. To me, the Sabres would need to include one of Mancari, Gerbe, or Kennedy to get another team interested. Possible, though Gerbe seems like he's got a future here.

Lastly, if they're really trying to fix the recent injury problem at defense, they're not going to trade any defensemen. Even still, it's more likely they'll do what they did last year and bring in a veteran like Nolan Pratt to temporarily fill the gap until Weber and Sekera are healthy again (a few weeks?). I haven't looked to see who like that is available, but they found someone last year and could probably do it again.

We Sabres fans have gotten used to the fact that Darcy rarely makes any moves. In fact, who really does anymore? I'd love to be wrong, but not at the expense of 26 / 9 / 30 / 29. You can have Peters. Twice.

Cal Petersen is having quite a year at ND. Gotta think he is our #1 goalie prospect at this point. Is he ahead of Ullmark? Will Petersen be in Roch next year? Makarov will be gone and not sold on Lieuwen to be back.

I love how Cal has played for ND, especially considering they are young team still. They weren't even ranked to start the year and now they are 7th I believe. He definitely has the look of a future starter in the NHL but hard to tell with goalies.
