I think all the people wanting the Sabres to pick top-5 are going to be disappointed when they finish 10th in the conference. This team is going to make a run. Their schedule in March is very soft to the tune of 12 of 15 opponents who are not currently in playoff position. Two of the remaining three are just barely wildcard teams, and the best team they play all month is the Rangers at home (not that playing at home has been that helpful this season).

He's been growing on me.

What often gets overlooked is that we're also a non playoff team. Soft schedule just means we have a better shot, doesn't mean we're a lock to win. Could just as easily lose to cgy, edm etc. especially if we move a few guys and Gionta finds his way back into the top 6

Yes, and Bogosian doesn't make 5 mil a year worth of them. Not even close.

Oh I know, but that doesn't make it a good deal.

If Bogosian were much better than McCabe and Pysyk I would probably feel differently. But he just doesn't do anything to warrant a big commitment. I think he should be #2 on the list of players that Murray should attempt to unload behind Moulson.

Especially if they view Stamkos as an option

I've been on his side since the beginning of the year... Skunk-ass and Eich both have positive stuff to say about him so I think he and Lehner are pretty cheap for a 1st rounder, imo of course.

It's possible they lose to these teams. it would be surprising for them to have a bad month against the level of competition they will be facing in my opinion.

They should be exploring deals for almost everyone. In his case, I just don't think you'll get good value for him (i mean vs what he can bring to the team) especially with Larsson supposedly on the outs.
