He misses an avg of 7 1/2 games a year.
Makes 5.7ish
With an avg of 74.477 games per year he avg a tad over 47 points per year. - dadeadhead
By those same numbers also averages 25 goals a year. |

Ennis could go and saves more than needed to eat part of 47's contract. - dadeadhead
Shhhh... don't say that.... that would make too much sense for him...
between Risto, Pysyk, McCabe, and Bogo.. our top 4 is not bad in the coming years. Gorges plays very well with Risto thou so it muffles it up.
I see us adding another top 4 type guy to throw into that pack. |

Mike Schopp and Jeremy White...
Basically WGR who have daily call-ins about how we could possibly get Stamkos, Crosby, Malkin, and OVechkin all on this team at the same time is your main source of "All of the Western New York media agrees with me."
Yikes.... I can see why your opinions are so all over the board. - JVince11
You said show me one tweet or one article. I showed you two. |

Well way to go Turbo you little puke. I hope he is not one of the top 4 in the league then. - JVince11
I dont think he is, even if he was i would put team 5 in the playoffs in his spot obviously. PM me your team name and your brothers so i know which one is his. |

@JeremyWGR
If we're to take a Stamkos-Sabres pairing seriously, we'd have to see some salary dumps. 26, 47 at the top of list. - sbroads24
That doesn't say ANYTHING about Bogo being as bad as u say he is
That's just about making Cap room for Stamkos |

Correct but being he's only scored over 21 twice the chance he's more of the 18-21 is more likely. |

I don't disagree. But like I said, I'm not alone in thinking it's smart to try and move his contract. In 2 years he's on the outside of the top 3 defensemen here. |

Last year is the only year of his career that he wouldnt of either scored 25 or been on pace for 25. 31 first year, 20 in 64 his second year, 13 in 42 in lockout year, 33 in 71, last year was a "stinker" at 18 in 77 and this year will probably hit 30 again. |

We can fit Stamkos just gone right now
Could get tricky in a couple years when we need to pay some of our kids though
We'll just have to see how it all plays out,
But I'd be shocked if Murray didn't go after Stamkos if he's a UFA |

In 3 years the going rate for a top 4 Dmen is going to make his 5.14M contract look like monkey piss money.
I am NOT saying that I think Bogo is legit top talent here by any means.. I just think that you are throwing the 25 year old dmen over the bridge FAR too early. DMen always take longer to round out their games. He is not going to be an offensive dynamo by any means.. he is a stay at home defensive guy. It is what it is. Once he is on a team that is not bottom 5 int he NHL every season then his +/- that you rag on will change as well. |

And only 2 years remaining while only being 28.
Won't be hard to move with how contracts keep going up and there's always a team or 4 needing to reach the floor.

Also,
Best not to put our young kids in situations before they're "ready" to handle them |

So realistically, when does gmtm start making moves? When he meets f2f with Western gm's this week? Does he wait it out another game or two to see if they start winning? Now that some level of precedent established via leaf trades, don't see why he would wait...unless waiting for best deals which could fall apart on hectic monday. - riptheguard
We aren't dealing with 2:59 on Deadline Day Darcy. If Murray wants, or has something in the works, he'll get it done regardless of the time |

I'll say this.... there have certainly been FAR WORSE candidates thrown out there for potential trade targets.
Him making 5.7M for the next 3 seasons after this one is a big stretch. He is definitely a top 6 forward but this team with Ennis back, Reinhart, Kane, Eichel, and ROR has 5 already.... plus most likely one of those top 4 wingers in this year's draft. |

Unfortunately though things came up and he didn't.
What he's on pace for only matters to agents in arb hearings or contract talks.

Not necessarily true. Have you seen how much the Canadian dollar is worth in the US right now? The cap could stay the same or even go down this upcoming season. I think we may see things kind of plateau for a bit. |
