True, but does he have a place here anymore? Getting something might be better than nothing. If they think he can come back and play here next year then cool. Either get his trade value up and trade him next year or keep him for the push.

My point is, IF he were healthy and playing he'd be our trade piece and his value wouldn't be as low. Sabres are so quiet about what's wrong with him and what his timetable is.

I'd love for him to come back and be great. My worry is he won't. I'm afraid he'll either come back and play like he did this year or the concussions could have scrambled his brain even more. If he came back and was a 20-25 goal scorer, plus a potential top 5 pick, plus Jack and Sam in their 2nd years, it could be great.

I think he's scrappy enough to play on the 3rd line if he gets pushed out of the top6. And with a scorer like Ennis on line 3, it cod end up being productive in both ends potentially
