Ah I see.. Ideally I hope Moulson, Gionta one of Larsson/Foligno won't be here. If Ennis regains his 20 goal form and can actually stay healthy I'd keep him but it depends what happens with the draft. I'd trade him for a top 4 D if he can ever fetch us that again...

If we got Matthews and moved him to wing. Our lines could look something like this. (At least early on)

I'd rather have Ugwand for another year for like $1.5 than Schaller. Schaller, on his current one year deal took a pay cut from $925,000 on his ELC to $874,125 this year with the same AHL salary of $70,000. That doesn't bode well for his future. I think he's Cal O'Reilly. A good AHLer but can never quite crack the NHL. If Ugwand wants more, sayonara Ugwandsan.

I still don't get the Ennis thing. Like I get why they'd want to move him but why now? This is probably the least valuable he's been in his entire career. Should let him come back and pad his stats a bit then move him on draft day.

I could see Franson going somewhere for a 3rd or 4th and a prospect. McGinn will be the big mystery. I have a feeling if we trade McGinn Murray does it to somewhere like Chicago get's a 2nd and something else for them and we also take on a salary dump for the rest of the year ala Toronto

Stats ain't everything . If he comes back and is 100% He has more value than most give him credit for.

I know it's way late but the skinner thing seems to be based on the regular appearance by sabres scouts at canes games but Im still betting it's for one of the d-men. That's where they're deepest at (Faulk, Hanifin, Wisniewski, slavin, pesce and mckewon in the system).

I'd wait on Ennis till the off season no matter what. If he comes back with at least ten games back and gets points we can trade him in the off season for a top four D or a high end NHL/AHL ready D prospect or a 1st round pick.
