i actually like Granlunds game.... he's definitely got more edge than Shink and a bit more size. His AHL stats have actually been better than Shink and is a bit further along in his development.

I don't want to say, in JB we trust, but time will tell how this works out.

I'm in the same boat, I liked Shink's attitude. The guy seems to love the game and has passion for scoring. But as people have noted, his defensive game has holes while Granlund seems to have figured out the Pro game a bit better at this point. Could work well for both but Granlund gets a guy in the lineup thats 22 and closing in on 100GP, more icetime hopefully means more production

Kid has better AHL numbers. NHL numbers have been suppressed due to the fact that he's had to play behind Monahan, Backlund, Bennett, Stajan

So then why trade him for a center which we have zero use for. Its a terrible trade for no other reason than we added to the position that we are strongest at and continue to do nothing to improve on defense.
