Has Granlund been brought in to replace someone else who will be moved later in the week Hansen, Burrows, Vrbata, Cracknell?

I think trading youth for middling talent is exactly the kind of think the Nucks should be doing. Seems like the perfect strategy, given where they are.

I can understand the argument that the reviews are mixed.....I was one of the ones on here getting flack for saying Shink isn't an A prospect a week ago.

What I have a hard time understanding, is acquiring a guy who has 2 months left to prove he is an NHLer for a guy with 2 and bit years left to prove he is an NHLer if the argument is that these guys are of equal skill level.

Look, the plan hasn't changed. Linden identified a talent gap between the ages of 20-25 and they are still actively looking to add NHL ready youth to fix the void left by Gillis. They believe we can be competitive in a few years and don't need a TO style rebuild. If people don't agree that's fine. Personally I think it's possible and I don't want to follow the TO model. We won't know if it's the right plan for a few years.

My biggest complaint is not giving prospects fair shots to prove their worth before making trades. Forsling is included. These two players have similar numbers with one behind one step ahead in development.

Mcann, Virt and Boeser are all better snipers than Shink

McCann, Virt and Boeser are shiny toys but just so you are aware Hunter scored more goals in Junior and put up more points than both Virtanen and McCann.

Boeser is a lot harder to get a read on, but I do find it funny that you can write off Shink with one breath and claim Boeser is better with the other.

Shinkaruk also outperformed Virtanen in theAHL playoffs which is really the only head to head opportunity they have had.

I think it has more to do with Benning cleaning out Gillis's closet and trying to bring in players he wants.

First of all....Shink was already playing pro and is obviously older. Jake was a month away from being a 2015 draft pick. What do I base it on? Watching them play. McCann, Jake and Boeser can beat a goalie from anywhere on the ice. I know you watch Shink highlights over on HF. His goals are scored off the rebound or on the PP. and for the record, I'm not writing off Shink, I just understand why he was traded
