I'll be surprised if Etem makes the team next fall to be honest. It was a no risk move giving him a shot. Jensen couldnt stay in a AHL line up... they gave up on him in the truest sense of the term. Don't blame them...

A truer statement has nver been made... I can handle the losing, the complaining, the arguing, absence from post season and all the growing pains. The (frank)ing hysteria and hyper exaggerating of every little move the GM makes drives me further from the remaining fan base though. If only JB could swing a deal for some new fans

Aren't you somewhat concerned that every trade Benning has made has some controversy to it? He hasn't made one (frank)ing deal where it makes sense. He's trading away picks for guys when he's the one who should be trading away guys for picks.

If he makes this trade Shinkaruk for a 2nd, I'd be more on board than some utility plug.

we all have to stop and remember that we dont really KNOW any of these players outside of stats. There's more to know. He is said to have an attitude problem. Does he miss practice? Does he even like being a canuck? His development in important areas has been slow reportedly. Maybe the plans didnt have enough room for him?

We have to trust there was a good reason here and that they know more and stuff we dont and cant.

Thats how I feel exactly. I wouldnt have liked the the trade for the 2nd but it would make more sense than this one today.

I don't doubt Benning doesn't think Shinkaruk will be a star, I doubt his judgement and ability to trade. He's lost every trade he's made.

Dreger is talking like the trade deadline just passed and this is the only trade we made. Who knows what the line up is going to look like after... for all we know everyone will be playing their natural position. I don't get all the post trade deadline type stuff being written about this trade....

Nope. That was me. Well, not a B prospect but I'm not convinced that we have an A+ prospect out of our current bunch. Obviously, Benning didn't think Shink was either.

I don't like the trade but I always want Benning to 'win' the trade so I'm going to be disappointed a lot.
