Great post from a dude in Finland over on HF that watched the kid back home. he believes he will be the better player than his bro.
LEO KOMAROV,everybody thought he be a career 4th liner in the NHL
(3rd liner at best),look at him now;best player of a sucky NHL team.
I've been following Markus's career since he was 15-16 years old,
you guys got one hell of a player,he has higher ceiling than his brother,
its just his brother gets all the media's attention, but in reality; Markus
is the better (and bigger) of the two brothers.
Markus is better skater & has better shot than his brother,
is excellent on PK and good on PP too,his defensive skills
are significantly better.
You guys don't know it yet,but actually, you won in this trade,Markus is bigger, stronger,
better defensively, not better skill wisely than Shinkaruk,but overall;
better player and i think that's how the scouts saw that too.
Sure sure Shinkaruk has higher ceiling (duh obviously) but that doesn't automatically
make him the better player, nor give him better career in the NHL.
I've been reading tons and tons and tons of posts (all over the web) how Shinkaruk
is NHL ready and Granlund isn't (or less) or something to that and how lots of other
Canucks players are ahead of him, around 90 games and 14 goals about 30 points
say different.
(also i advice all to check his stats from the Finnish pro league, how he has played
against men at young age prior to his NHL/NA career)
Granlund has clearly shown that he is NHL:er,but his role in Calgary
was very inconsistent, his ice time was all over the place, from 6 minutes to 16 minutes
from bottom 6,to top 6,given a correct role from this team,he will surprise
ton of people, mark my word. |

ok.
maybe JB gets his money's worth and more in this trade, like he did with Sven.
people were moaning about that one too as JB bent them over and did a slow grind. could be the same thing here.
if Granlund trade works out like the Sven trade, then i hope people post their mea culpas. I initially posted that I didn't understand what was going on with this deal, for a lack of information on the web or from JB himself regarding Granlund. If JB felt the same as what was posted above, why didnt' that mook tell the fanbase what it is that is so good about Granlund instead of letting the fans sit and stew for a lack of information from the club on Granlund and why the deal was made.
the problem with the Canucks organization is a lack of communication. their marketing department needs to wake up and realize the fans are going lose their shiite like they did yesterday when they don't put up any information for people to digest... |

Markus is a better player.
Why is this so hard to stomach.
Another good 2 way player our team is filling up with them which is great. I'm assuming hell be 3rd line center next year as I'm guessing sutter will play with twins or maybe gran Lund plays on Sutter wing.
No way shinkaruk was gonna be ahead of virt Danny baertschi bowser riding or Hansen. Great trade |

I'll bet you guys anything this deal was done so we could send Jared McCann plus to Tbay for Drouin |
|

I think taking on Granlund leaves the door open for a trade before TDL. Vey has been in the press box the lady two games and I don't remember any big hits or taking a puck to the ankle. My guess is he will be packaged off later this week.
I will be sorry to let him go. I think next year playing with talented players he will be a 40 pt player. |

How is engaging you on you're point about changing the coach trolling you? You make a big long speach about how Willie d has to be fired. I asked you to answer a simple question about how you expect management to do that....when it would require them to pay for three head coaches at one time. You never even attempt to discuss the point....which you bring up, in a public forum. The. Spend the rest of the night spewing hate and causing poop. I asked you one simple, non offensive question about you're post...and you carry on like a spoiled child for two days. Who's trolling who? I wanted to talk the point out with you, but you're too big a (frank)ing baby to defend you're points. Keep cryin dude...keep cryin. I'm here to talk hockey not listen to you're bullpoop. |

Lol I just don't get that guy - Bullfrog77
I am learning over the years to take things less seriously here. None of us make decisions that affect the team , aside from me bringing in Sutter and almost landing Lucic. Joking of course. Don't take things so serious. If someone annoys you move on . Ignore. It will make your stay here more enjoyable. |

Could be on to something here but I don't see a future here for Vey tbh.
Players like him their window only opens so long.
Seems to slow n doesn't win puck battles often. Even though Shink was an ELC
Granlund is more well rounded but his contract is a lil pricey. I figure JB has made the recent trades eg Etem n Granlund to find young talent n search for chemistry. Moving assets in search of improving is fine by me but time to move out Hamhuis n Vrbata while he is at it n forget notions of the playoffs. |

Still plenty of time to move Hamhuis and Vrbata. Hamhuis may go this week if he agrees to waive, but I don't see Vrbata moving until guys like Ladd, Stall, and Boedker move. The teams that miss out on those guys might take a flyer on Vrbata. |

Sometimes teams can wait too long and miss out. I think there is more to come. Things will pick up any time now |

All the real experts like the deal for Vancouver. But who really cares. It will take years to see that shink is a flop like Schroeder

Between you and ardvark, I'd say there's more than one broken record around here. Quick poking with the same insults, this is trolling at its finest which is why I assume no one else is getting involved. These types of comments are just as unnecessary as someone overreacting to your trolling ways. - neem55

The things I do like about this trade is that its a hockey trade. I like that JB is getting poop$ done. I like Shink but I am not going to let that cloud that all this was for was a trade for potential. Both teams imo made good with this deal. Also the sky is not falling. |
