Shink was weak and doesnt attempt physical play. Glanlund from what Ive been told by a few different people is hes more physical. Not like hes a threatening figure just that hes still physical, which apparently shink would never become. Shink was smaller as well. Pretty sure we came out on top.

Time will tell, I guess as long as he is a marginal improvement or helps the club, all good.

The hardest part about being a fan is the more you get into it, the more there is to get into. You like the Canucks so you start looking at the Comets and wonder what this or that player could do if given the opportunity. Then on the other side of that you have a GM that is making moves, that fecker didn't consult me, but has more info, indepth stuff that he bases his decisions on.

You are right, Shink didn't make us any harder to play against. Maybe the issue with Shink is he is top 6 or bust where as Granlund is supposedly more versatile.

Not assuming anything, just trying to point out that he will require waivers if he doesn't fit into the lineup on a full time basis. he could also be stuck in the press box like Corrado or Tinordi were this year for their respective teams.

As I mentioned, I hope the move is in preparation for more moves at tdl or in the summer.

Didn't like the notion, heard it mentioned on the radio, that Granlund was acquired for centre ice depth for the rest of the season... unless the club plans on sitting Hank and Sutter isn't returning.

Maybe all this is just moot though if Shink had fallen so far out of favour, or JB just couldn't see where he would fit with the club and wasn't going to be given a chance anyway.

Not sure which 1040 twit said that Granlund was acquired for this season but that's ridiculous. They have wanted Shink gone since they acquire Baertchi. They couldn't get a D so they settled on what they thought the best return was. He is a young controllable asset that is either kept or packaged in a trade. This season likely had zero influence on the trade

Hillbilly, perhaps we should wait till after the TDL to see if hes even still here 1st. Once we know what the set roster is after trades it will be time to debate futures etc. Till then im waiting.

Non hockey related question. How was Hawaii? Any tears? Any new pie recipes? How about those Leafs?
- Marwood

Hawaii was great, no rain 30 degrees out.
It's been dam cold here these last couple nights. I've been crying myself to sleep trying to figure out how to move there.
Had a Hawtin pizza pie with Canadian bacon
Leafs are shameful, I get it but shameful none the less.
