Benning is so stupid he probably mistook Marcus Grandlund for Mikhail Grandlund.

Seems like everyone is pissed but I really liked Granlund. I think he's gonna be a solid player.

Perhaps...

But i would take the potential top six scorer over the bottom 6 depth center any day.

Shink has to play in your top six or he's useless.

wasn't going to play with D Sedin or Baertschi taking those two spots for the foreseeable future.

that being said..... surely we could do better than Granlund

Hamhuis and Francesco Aquilini for Dal 1st and Tom Gaglardi
- PetrolSexual

I'd think it would have to be Hamhuis plus our 1st for Dallas' 2nd if we're hoping to swap owners. But it still sounds good.

A lot of Canuck fans are big fans of Shink. Has is feisty has lots of speed and goal scoring ability. As mentioned, hopefully this makes more sense in week.

If shink didnt get hurt he could have 40 goals in utica in his 2nd pro season. Granlund is 3 years older and still hasnt had a season like that before. This deal is terrible.
- mauryballstein

Granlund had 25G 46P in 52GP in his rookie AHL season, Shink in his second has 21G 39P in 45GP. So goals per game, he's done quite a bit better and more consistently at the AHL level

Yes so deal him for a dman. Where does Granlund fit in? Hes alot further down the depth chart than shink on LW

Sedin, Sven, Shink
Sedin, Horvat, Sutter, McCann, Vey, Granlund

Just terrible

I was one of the first to point out that Shink still has holes in his game but I wouldn't characterized him as a top 6 or bust player.

The worst part of this deal is moving an ELC controlled player for a guy who will be subject to waivers and is a RFA.

Talk about selling low.

Flames traded Granlund because he wasn't going to be a top 3 center with Mony, Sam, Backlund...he isn't a bad player

Still Granlund is older and not waiver eligible...honestly biased as I may be the Flames likely won this one

Sure, but Shink was an unknown quantity, sky was the limit.

Granlund has been a healthy scratch on a poop team.
