Up to 3 players salaries can be retained at a time, 50% maximum for each contract, a teams salary cap can't be consumed by more than 15% from retained salaries, player that salary is retained for cannot be reacquired for a year (except if their contract expires).

comes out with a bang, get your hopes up and then takes 3 steps back

a few years later, you think he has it, and regresses the following year

what separates him from most over this dreadful stretch, he had heart just lacked talent
