folded pizza is called a calzone - 2Real
No they are distinct, even if they're are relatives. And is a calzone really a sandwich? Folded pizza is still a bit open, as sandwiches are. A calzone is sealed. If a calzone is a sandwich, does that make chicken pot pie a sandwich? We are in dangerous waters here. Answer carefully. |

So if I put just ketchup on a dot dog bun, is that a sandwich?
Hyperbole - jmatchett383
In the same way a slice of cheese on bread is a cheese sandwich, sure. Not a very good sandwich, but whatever. |

wait till they resign Coburn - Marc D
He will be signing in San Jose.
Whenever I look at their cap page I'm amazed to see they are retaining on Demers, despite him being a better player than Dillon. What a weird trade that was for the Sharks. |

Folding a slice of pizza is a method of eating, not a distinctly different food product. Invalid query. |

Demers was expendable because the sharks have too many players like him and needed a more physical player like Dillon |

What if I dunk it in water, then? Is it a water sandwich since there's water between the bun? |

http://espn.go.com/nhl/st...rst-5-trades-five-seasons
Burnside listed the worst 5 trades in the last 5 years. Best part? The Flyers were only mentioned once and were on the positive side of the trade! Flyers fleecing CBJ with an uninspired Carter for Coots, Voracek, and Cousins. Homer sucks! Rabble rabble rabble.
Oddly enough, he has a list of the best 5 trades in the last 5 years. Shouldn't that list just consist of the team on the other side of the worst 5 trades? But I digress..... |

No, then it's just wet. If you put ice cubes between two breads, then I'd entertain the concept of a water sandwich. |

If a sandwich is stuff between 2 buns, why is a certain act referred to as a healthy vegetable-based meal instead of "eating a sandwich?" |

wtf about a hot dog is vertical? - Scoob
I don't believe in that definition myself, but the bread is vertical typically. A sandwich has its bread on horizontal planes; a hot dog has its bread on vertical planes. That's the idea. I am skeptical because when eaten, do most people bite straight into it vertically? Or do they tilt the hot dog horizontally to eat it? I do the latter. |

Makes no sense, but happens a lot. Like a goalie winning the Hart, but not the Vezina. |

Everything is a method of eating. If I put a slice of turkey on 1 slice of bread and eat it, that's not a sandwich. If I FOLD the bread, put them mustard on it, and eat it, I will be eating half a sandwich. A sandwich really is just a method of eating when it comes down to it. |
