Giving up everything to get one player seems like the exact thing the Leafs would do. - hereticpride
the stupid part about it is they'd have no team around stamkos
they'd essentially be like the oilers |

a sandwich requires two distinct breads (they may be loosely connected at one end). A consistent bread barrier surrounding the contents is a pastry.
Strombolis and pop tarts are the same thing. - BulliesPhan87
So by this definition the deliciousness below is not a sandwich?

Per James Mirtle and Craig Custance, the Flyers are trying to re-sign Michael Raffl. - Jsaquella
good I hope he is back unless he gets in that Leno contract frame of mind and wants too much. if the flyers improve their top 6, Raffl immediately improves the bottom 6. |

You talking about the alley oop pass? Coots did that twice last game...and they both worked. Led to an odd man or two. |

Teams are so adept at stifling through the neutral zone, it really is a good play. One of my favorites. |

I know the game is long over but going back and thinking about how we didn't have our best offensive threat in the line up and instead of inserting a creative offensive defenseman into the line up, our coach decided to go with a "more physical" defenseman. I don't even remember Carolina playing overly physical. |

Carolina's interesting. A 19 yoa high pick and two 21 yoa later round picks all with a combined 21 AHL games logging heavy minutes on D. They seem to be having a good year.
More than one way to skin a cat I guess. I'd like to think Hexy can find a happy medium and not paint all our prospects with a broad brush. If a kid shows he's ready give him the chance. |

Ghost coming in and showing he was more than ready, even defensively, ahead of schedule might assuage Hexy's fears. He might be slightly less hesitant now.
That said, I think only Provy is ready. Morin and Sanheim could need 1/2-1 more seasons. Perhaps more for Sanheim depending on his performance. For forwards, Konecny might be ready too...he is probably beyond the OHL. I'm not against letting those who need it getting more time. I just would hate to see those who don't stagnate for a year. And the fact that Hak made his living molding 18-19 year olds is a plus. |

Yea with konecny. The last thing they prob need to worry about with the kid is puck on stick aspect. It's everything else. D zone and his work ethic there. I don't watch him a whole lot but it's possible NAK could be further ahead in those other areas from snippets I've read |

Hmmm wants a pp qb - mydoglicks
They don't have much cap room though do they?
Streit for their 1st, and a cap dump or two?
Streit straight up might not be worth a first but us freeing up some additional room for them would add value.
I highly doubt any deal for Streit could involve Drouin coming back to us unless there is a lot more involved. |
