I was just thinking about Hartnell. If he gets dealt to a contender and wins a cup, he will be the second flyers player to go through Columbus en route to a championship |

Is it weird that I imagine Hedberg fighting Spicoli with Fred Shero trying to break it up? |

I once downed a bottle of Makers, drove 90mph against the traffic on the freeway, with my car 20k miles past due for an oil change, was eating and texting while driving, and didn't have my seat belt on the whole time.

Spicoli is way too high-strung for Hedberg. |

Pretty much everyone good who leaves the Flyers goes on and wins a cup
Tampa is pretty much a guarantee this year. If they acquire Hartnell, it's all over |

Did you follow them in 06/07 or the early 90s? Those teams were far worse. - jmatchett383
I have seen every team since 1968 |

If Mr. Hand had ripped up Hedberg's card, Hedberg would have just asked him if he wanted some taffy instead of resorting to childish name calling. |

Then i find it hard to believe this is "one of the worst" you've ever seen. Heck, last year's team was just as brutal. 06/07 was abysmal. 90-94 were terrible and filled with 50%+ of scrubs. I'm not saying they're good, but there have been far worse teams throughout their history. |

If any comparison could be made, this team reminds of the pre-Lindros era Flyers. Or even the Lindros teams before they got LeClair and Desjardins.
And even those teams were better than the 06/07 team.
The 06/07 team was the worst team in the history of the franchise by any measure. |

Yeah, this reminds me more of the 93/94 team. There are some pieces in place, but still a lot of holes that need to be filled. |

Thanks King Bill. You are now taking Howard Sterns place as "The King of All Media."
I think that the team maybe struggling to adjust to all the injuries, movement up, and down the line up, and just plain having some players that just don't have the talent level that it takes to win on a consistent basis. As mentioned so many times before, we seem to have two second lines of forwards, and two fourth lines. In addition, our D is just plain bad. However, with the the bad contracts, and the watering down of the league's players, that is what we are stuck with at this time.
I do like the way Ghost is playing on D, and hope that we can find him some support this summer, so that he doesn't get too frustrated. In addition, the Scotty L, and Cuz line looks promising. Maybe this can be a start of a new, and actual third line of forwards. As mentioned before, I would start bring up some of the kids, and finding out what combinations would work for next season. The may even jump start our offensive productivity, 5 on 5.
On a different note, what is up with the fascination with John Scott. Are they really going to make a movie about him? When is all this silliness going away? If I was John Scott, I would be embarrassed about all the attention, and try to have some dignity. However, in today's media, and greed driven World, I guess it makes sense. I bet if he ran as the GOP nomination, he would get to be President. |
