TM has had successful talks in extending McGinn. The only way he will trade him is for a 2nd rounder + Prospects. - Simple
Speculation or do you know something? I hadn't heard that. |

I think h gets what Mitchell or Flynn got you last year. - ImThatGuy
They are/were much better than he is. He doesn't kill you - that's the best thing you can say about him. |

I can't provide my source, as he is an assistant to someone in the organization. But I have always relied on him for the inside scoop. Take it as you may, but it is a legitimate source. |

it's amazing with those numbers they are not even sniffing a top 8 seed in the east - homiedclown
Reason is we don't score at even strength. Special teams aren't a huge difference maker for most teams. That's why most advanced numbers are judged on even strength play. |

so he probably isn't trading him... i think i am indifferent either way.. i just hope the extension isnt for very long - IndianaSabresFan
My thoughts on him too. Seems trading a player for a pick , then trying to find a better player is pretty exhausting. Usually pretty expensive and usually turns out to be the same as what you let go. |

Legwand won't get a better return than Weber.
The Caps overpaid for Weber. - buffalofan19
what does a third-round pick in 2017 mean to a team that's going for it all right now? |

I am happy with keeping him. Just hope it is for 3.5 and no more then 4 a year. Don't want to miss out on Stamkos |

Most of the game is played at even strength. |

IMO Ruhwedel is just as good, and should be given a shot with the big club for the rest of the season - homiedclown
he's an rfa...methinks he'll have the opportunity to show what he's got this season...maybe after colaiacovo's moved? |

They don't have a 3rd in this draft either. We have a chit ton. Could it mean something deeper ? |

If you remember, the PK% was absolutely garbage early in the season. They've really turned it around lately. There were plenty of games that the PK probably lost for us early in the season. And with how close things are in general in the standings, those losses are probably the difference between where we are now and where we would be if the PK was performing the same way it is now earlier in the season. |

legwand's been a big part of that as well...on the top unit with o'reilly, risto and gorges
Legwand has value, probably not more than 5th round pick value, however |

Awesome, thanks much.
So what inside info have we had over the last few days? I know that sbroads reported last night that the organization believes Stamkos wants to come here. |

It'll be interesting. He's a good depth guy. I don't think he's played any worse than we saw from Mitchell last year, so I would suspect a return similar to that is what we could possibly get. The problem is that his cap hit is what could end up keeping him here past the deadline. |

good point, forgot about that...$3M...methinks the Sabres might eat some of that in a trade of worth |

can you think of any team that would trade for him? - Michael Pachla
Coliacovo to FLA straight up for Dave Bolland.
We buy out Molson and Bolland both. (We can do that can;t we?) |
