McDonagh in tonight. Hank in net. AV believes Hrivik (flu) will play. If not he’ll use McIlrath up front.
- eichiefs9
He definitely has the offensive skill and ability to excel in that role |

Wasn't there talk of Boyle being used as a winger? |

I'd like for them to tie him to the wing of the teams charter... would that make him a winger? |

I thought that the rule with Kovalchuk was if he returned before 2018, he was still NJ property. If he returned after, he would be a UFA.
Send Kreider to the Devils for the Rights to Kovalchuk? Sign Kovalchuk for remaining of season at $1M. - xcheckmajor
If I'm the Devils I take that and run. |

If Kreider gets traded, I don't want it anywhere in the division. |

Could you imagine how pissed the rest of the league will be if the Devils got out of the previous contract and get to negotiate a new one? |

I can't imagine that would happen. As far as I know, he has to sit for a few years or get all gm's to say yes he can play. |

Almost as pissed as they were that the Devils bored the league to tears from the 1990's to the 2000's |

We'll line him up on D and let him torch opponents on end-to-end rushes that culminate with the opposing goaltenders spinal column being crushed into a fine powder, the result of major blunt-force trauma |

He doesn't even do that anymore. He's more likely to fumble the puck, or go wide with a shot into the logo.

I know. But it's still fun to act like he intentionally runs goaltenders because he has some odd fetish for it. |

I actually don't think he has a fetish for it. I think he is so damn fast and out of control that he either loses and edge and kills a goaltender (Anderson) or gets tripped going 100 MPH and kills a goaltender (Price).

I saw something today that it's very iffy they would bring Buchnevich over this year anyway.
They probably don't want to burn a year of his ELC and its just too unknown how much of an impact he'd have right away |

No, I know. I never thought he was actually doing it intentionally. I agree that I think he's so fast that he just couldn't stop his momentum and ended up blowing a tire.
I thought he was a little reckless, but never malicious. |

Refresh my memory. I thought they went through this with Kreider. If he plays only in the playoffs does it not count toward year 1 of his ELC? |

I'd say F a year of his ELC. We all know this window is closing...
I'm not too impressed from what I've seen from him this year, but coming over for the playoffs could be a boost. NYR, The Garden, Henrik... Hopefully playing on a line with Zuke. He could be a gamechanger like Panarin |
