I hate these kind of Russian players. They come in and out of the game -- money hungry -- they take 1 n half minute shifts trying to pot goals. To his credit, he produced in the playoffs and he WAS a player I liked but the way he plays combined with this attitude, I wish all 30 Gms tell him to F off

Im pretty sure the devils have the upper hand here. For Kovy to sign where ever he wants to he would need permission from every team in the league including the devils. Why in gods name would the devils allow that? they either say hey we'll put you back on our reserve list and offer him a contract or dont let him in at all. No way the devils dont get somthing out of of kovy coming back. Atleast sign him them trade his ass for drouin or alteast a first

Kovalchuk is free to sign with any NHL team but under the CBA he will have to clear wavers once signed so whoever signs him even Toronto will have to wait at least 1 selection as Edmonton would have 1st kick at the can. NJ as he retired has no real benefit & with their place in the standings wouldn't have a hope.
