Getting benched in the playoffs and walking out on your last NHL team might be a red flag. I dunno, just my .02. - Itsjustarash
Youngblood walked out on his hockey team.
But Derek Sutton let him back in the room. |

He burned Lou. Doesn't that ensure a lifetime ban in the NHL? |

For clarity's sake; Kovalchuk would need to be released by his KHL team due to the transfer agreement first; then he can sign with New Jersey without anyone else having a say. It's just other NHL teams he would need approval of all 30 GM's to sign with.

Either way, he would need to pass through waivers before he could dress for whatever team he signed for. If a team picked him up on waivers, they could not then trade him without him being put on and clearing waivers. |

why would he go to TO at this point? No post season. Makes no sense.
Im thinking the NHL would force him to honor the contract he severed when he left claiming to be retired. |

I'm willing to bet the KHL cheques are bouncing. Kovy needs cash to pay off the Russian mob best way to get that cash quick is to get back to the NHL.
Good luck Kovy. |

Ok Eklund, I'm not one to give you crap about your rumours. This is a rumour site, I like reading the dead on and far fetched alike. Always fun to think about but come on, at least think about what you write.
Your first paragraph indicated he'll be back in the NHL this week. That he would sign now to be able to play in the playoffs. Then you go and mention the Leafs. At least if you are gonna talk out your rear end try to make some sense. Just add a sentence that says he would sign with Lou for a year for a bonus check then traded to a playoff team and back to Toronto in 2017.
Absolutely dumb scenario but at least plausible versus impossible. - Steven_Dean
