You can't shop a player with a ntc unless of course he agrees to move it. You also can't trade an injured player... Think dude... - Codes1087
Good luck with that. |

Benning has said time and time again, that he would prefer no picks, and just do "hockey trades" - Bieksa#3
He might want to start then, because everything that I've seen from him so far has been a non-hockey trade...
How's it going tonight? Not seen you around here for a while, hope all is well? |

And his hilarious twist on things - Bieksa#3
Yep. he keeps it a bit light. the negativity at times is a bit much on this board. minor moves so far with no impact on our present roster.
JB has some sort of plan, isn't announcing it... we hear how bad our roster is, we are hovering around the bottom of the league... no idea what reasonable expectations are anymore, but this isn't make or break. |

Plus you can trade an injured player. Columbus moved Horton, Flyers moved Pronger... hell, even when the Leafs took Kessel he had just had shoulder surgery... |

Yes sir, also busy down here. Got an evening to myself which is nice, no work or anything. Have seen a job opportunity back up in Canada so I'll be putting together an application for that |

lol. You could say that but it wouldn't be very well though out. When you list a bunch of garbage... it's reasonable to think that some of that garbage has been over looked. If you think someone like Hamhuise needs the same advertisement as Cracknel and Weber.... then I'm laughing out loud.
- boonerbuck
I think my original post was more about JB declaring that the Nucks are 'officially' in a sell sell sell mode.
I was saying that by simply listing our garbage, does not indicate that JB is in a full sell mode.
I then said that if more prominent players like Hansen, Hamhuis and Edler were included in said list, i would be inclined to believe that we are truly in a sell-off mode.
In saying all that, i;m glad you got a chuckle. |

I really like this move for larssen, hopefully he can do better than Weber and Bart and at least he actually plays the right side.
KHL is a funny league to judge D in it but 36 pts in 52 games is significant.
32 pts in 125 GM's in the NHL and a -1 considering he played for a couple of poor teams is not insignificant.
Benning's made some head scratchers but pretty hard to fault him on this one. |

Alberta again? - Bieksa#3
Nope, a faculty position at UofT. There'll be a metric (frank)-tonne of applicants so it'll be tough to get, but would be awesome if it somehow worked out |

So we're in agreement that if Hamhuis and Vrbata at some point over the next rougly 100 hrs are not asked to waive their no trades that Linden and Benning are idiots? I mean, I'm willing to let this play out. - Bieksa#3
They only ask when they have a trade they see worthy. If they dont have that... Gillis is the idiot I guess because i's not JB's NTC... remember him? The guy who you refused to stop defending til almost the very end and you were like the last defender standing... strange how you go on this kind of irrational assault on the next GM. What changed your habit of defending endless (frank)ery to not giving the next guy a chance? Nothing in between? I think you are still butthurt to be honest... it stinks of "if (frank)ing up was unacceptable for MG, why is it acceptable for JB". Well its not at all the same... just let go.... |

Some Oilers insider just tweeted that the Oilers just traded a D man who wasn't in the nhl for a pick, now it's time to move the ones who shouldn't be in the nhl - Bieksa#3

I don't think JB wants to include Hansen and Edler because both are under contract for the coming season and if they aren't moved, it might create some hard feelings. If the right deal comes along, we can only hope JB won't be hesitant to ask for NTC's to be waived.. |

But I'm sure Stevie y isn't interested in a trade where 2/3rds is scrap - Lee Denault
I didn't think the trade would interest Yzerman either |

But why wouldn't you give Shink a even breif shot to prove your point? Even his comments suggest they wanted to trade him at all cost. It kind of reminds me of Forsling for Clendenning(but more value from both players) I mean can we try to let a few guys develop? - Bieksa#3
Keep in mind that the coach(Green) that you want to replace WD had big input on whether they thought Shink was going to be a impact top 6 or not. The critcisms you heard from JB came right from UTICA.
So if Green is showing doubt on young players like Shink,,, dont you respect that?
Don't you want to question why he's doing that while WD embraces the youth?

Take your own advice man, you are the only one who feels the need to constantly bring up old debates.
Honestly no offense but you seem to get really wound up about some of this.
