Bruins making Pittsburgh look like an ahl team.
how did JB pass on Landon Ferraro when he was waived by DET? - Max.Betts
Exactly. I tried to tell him but he wasn't accepting my calls that week. |

I'm guess if trader bob is right about them wanting a draft pick too, there is that plus the money to work out. I don't hate the deal myself. - neem55
Neither do i so long as it ain't our first.
Even next year's 1st would be a little much. |

No worries. Since the Nucks stopped being competitive, you (frank)ers never troll the Oilers threads anymore so we get stuck with Leafs fans all the time. I wouldn't say I miss it, but I'll be damned if I didn't at least prefer it over the alternative.
What're you guys feeling on the Granlund deal? I get the impression a lot of you feel like it's another Vey, but he's got better wheels from what little I've seen of him outplaying the Oilers' 3rd and 4th lines. |

Bobby Mac has said the Canucks have inquired. 1040 had a poll question would you. So yes and not really
It's on social media as well. I think they are kicking tires |

TSN just talked to talked to hammer yesterday and he said they haven't even approached him at all. The article is on the main page. Have a read - Bieksa#3
The conversation could go like this.
Jb 'hey dan, if we arn't going to make the playoffs and a team makes us an offer on you, would you be willing to waive? '
Hammer 'well jim, why don't you explore your options and if you can hammer out a deal then let me know and I'll tell you whether I'll waive or not. '
JB 'great dan, glad we could come to an understanding because I'm getting roasted on Hockeybuzz'
Hammer 'no problem just ask me whenever your ready.'
Any conversation like this shows a willingness to waive even though no asking to waive has actually happened.
The article quoted dan saying that they hadn't asked him to waive, not whether they'd talked to him about the possibility of waiving. Apples and oranges |

That's what I think is fair.......but who knows.
Taking back Carle is a huge help to TB. |

McCann and Hamhuis for Drouin and Carle + a Pick/Prospect? - SMP8719
Eshhh, the way this fanbase treats Edler, Carle is liable of being shanked in the parking-lot post game.
Will be 32 at the start of next season, 5.5 mil until 2018, 2pts and minus -5 this season in 44 games.
At that rate, they ought to be giving us a pick |
|
|
|
Because given the fact that Mike Weber got a 3rd and Roman Polok got a 2nd + we can agree that Hamhuis will bring some solid offers. - Bieksa#3
Obviously not. |

Code complains about every single move. - boonerbuck
I didn't complain. I researched his stats. I complained that the direction of the team is a mystery. We list a sale, making us all believe we are sellers, but we are dishing away picks. Benning says the rebuild begins with drafting and developing and then he uses future picks. I did not complain once about the trade as this could be a steal for a offensive d man. Read myfull posts |

Are you telling me or are you telling benning? If hamhuis doesn't waive or hasn't told benning he would, why would benning advertise him? |

I don't think was evere in Canucks plan soon as JB got here. We traded for a 3/4 centre. Much ado about nothing |

If getting a offensive defensemen that puts up offensive numbers, and all it costs is a 4th than its a steal. No 4th round pick since 1990 has been impactful to our team. If we recover that 4th round pick or 5th round pick with a trade of one of our trash pieces on sale right now than its a huge win. |

But he is not overpaying. He is fixing holes.
When we were healthy at the beginning of the year we were competitive. He said yesterday he is not trading for picks he has no interest. He wants hockey trades |

I support the granlund trade. I didn't support the lack of fair shot they gave shinkaruk at the pro level before shipping him away. 1 game to me wasn't a big enough sample size but if every scout is saying he is weak on the puck, mediocre skater, bad defensively and puts himself in bad positions then get rid of him while he still has that first round hype around him. |

That's what I am complaining about. They say one thing and do another. Benning loves picks but ships them off. They swear on draft and develop but we are shipping picks. I will continue to trust the brain trust it's just confusing |

Coburn seems like the most likely candidate to come back, no? That is, assuming they think Hammer>Coburn. |

They are still draft and developing. Boeser Demko Gaunce and this years pick. Plus guys like Neill Subban Brisebois Cassels and so on and so on. |

This part makes no sense, remember the holes MG left. |
