In your opinion which is founded on nothing but complete speculation... sure. I mean whose to say Seguin ever reaches his full potential if he doesn't get traded to Dallas and play with Benn? All of this kind of hindsight speculation is just silly. We all wish things played out differently at some point or another but going back and saying "look where we'd be if we made these choices differently" is nothing but a futile attempt at convincing ourselves we are in more control of our future than we actually are.

VAN has let other 29 teams know they are open for business on: Vey, Bartkowski, Kenins, Cracknell, Higgins, Prust and Weber.

Yes and also if he were to develop in edmonton does he just suck like all hell because of it?
We know he's had issues too. Not a great place for getting rid of attitudes when every player and current pick is the franchise savior.

I follow the Oil the most these days (used to be the Habs), then the Nucks are probably somewhere in the mix for top 5 teams I follow (mostly because I live in Van and was raised in Quesnel). Not too much of a long-term die-hard of any particular team (flip-flopped a few times), I follow the league in general a lot and I like to keep tabs on exciting prospects. I'll paraphrase Adam French and say I like players more than I like teams.

This forum is pretty slow to pick up on the fact that VAN is officially selling now and no one is jumping for joy. This forum is really slow to the draw today. We wanted for them to sell, management has spread the word!

I mean if we want to rewind the clock and change the initial conditions then we shouldn't expect to recognize anything in the 'new present' because the world is a very complex place. That's kinda the bottom line when it comes to playing out the what-if scenarios. They are fun to do sometimes, as long as you remember that it's nothing more than fantasy.

Those players cannot be dealt that easy because of their contracts having clauses. Same reason they can't advertise Vrbata (injured) and Hamhuis (NTC)

Totally.Today is a great day. We now know that ownership has given the thumbs up to Benning to go ahead with the tank. Hope Gaunce and Pedan get called up after these trades (IF trades start happening)

for that reason When I pose a 'what if' question its usually in response to someone elses 'what if' question to show theres always a flip side to all if not several

Surely you could still 'advertise' and then bring the offer to the agent to see if their is a fit?

ah, so vey is the one to make the move to wing, not surprised given how he has never shown much of anything in the faceoff circle, might be a decent third line.
