Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
VAN has let other 29 teams know they are open for business on: Vey, Bartkowski, Kenins, Cracknell, Higgins, Prust and Weber.

Im saying he is worth way more than a 2nd. My original post was saying polak got 2 2nds. (whether he's worth that is a whole different debate). and then laughing at the person that offered only 1 2nd roudner for vatanen who is by far a way superior player as well as younger. |

I see. When a leaf fan comes in here and rights "This ^" one has to assume it is made with a hint of sarcasm.
Vatanen is worth WAY more than just a second. Anaheim is not in the middle of a rebuild, so their desire for picks is not at all time high. I dont believe polak is worth 2, I just think that SJ got fleeced a bit and that 9 times out of 10, other GM's dont throw 2 picks for a player of Polak's calibre lol. I think Lou did a incredible job with that trade. |

Yeah were saying the exact same thing.
- woulda been really happy if polak got 1 2nd
- when we were talking vatanen in our thread my opinion was it would probably take JVR (what extras went either way is up for debate) |

Doug Wilson knows his time as the Sharks GM is coming to an end so he's making a last ditch effort to get the silverware. |

90 pts in 180 games played. come on man, that's not even inflated. he's 24, he would fetch a 1st. |

I think regardless of what time of the year it is, he is a VERY valueable offensive/puck moving defenseman that 29 teams would covet if available. I think 5 years ago, his size would be a bit of a concern but with the emergence of players like Krug and Barrie, the size factor isn't as much of a problem. I think he teams will pay a TON for him if ever made publicly available. |

Hammy - definitely search for best possible deal to places he is willing to go. Target future top 3 forwards or top 2 defense in terms of prospects and/or picks. Salary holdback if deal gets better.
Vrby - if anyone on his willing to go to list wants him, then gift him away. He is replaceable from within. Salary holdback if deal gets better.
Burrows - He is still a player I like on the team, but with his salary dollars, if a deal makes sense, and he is willing to move, take it and look for FA signing
Hansen - Should keep one of Hansen or Burrows. Would rather keep Hansen, but depends on what the action dictates
Vey - see Vrby - does he fit with team given Etem/Granlund adds?
Edler - Keep, he is core to the team - unless of course there is a 1/2 D prospect (or Stamkos) coming back.
Bartkowski - If they are not re-signing, they grab what you can - if you can. I don't see him as being the worst thing that can happen on this team. I like him as a 6/7. If it ever clicks his upside is much better than that.
Sbisa - I don't see him being moved
Prust/Higgins - take what you can. If both Burrows and Hansen are moved, then maybe keep Higgy
Rest of the NHLers should be kept unless needed to land top prospect/pick, but don't move Hutton/Horvat.
Prospects - be prepared to through any prospect in for upgraded picks/prospects. I would hate to see Boeser, McCann or Virtanen leaving though.
Stewart - future HOF power forward - Absolutely must hang onto this guy - Lostinarink
Hey, I forgot the Crack. I will take any offer for him, as long on there is no holdback - got to save that for the other deals

Gotta give credit where credit is due. You get two 2nd round picks for Polak, you deserve a pat on the back. |

don't worry those 2nds will be up for grabs at the draft when Dubas and Hunter decide to trade down for as many 3rd rounders as possible |

I didn't realize the amount of people commenting on it, I just meant I think McCann for Vatenen is fair value given his stats/potential. |

Totally.Today is a great day. We now know that ownership has given the thumbs up to Benning to go ahead with the tank. Hope Gaunce and Pedan get called up after these trades (IF trades start happening) - Codes1087
go ahead with the tank?
I hope you are right but keep in mind not one of those are roster players. |

Dubas and Hunter don't have POOP on Lou's decisions. Lou is going to do right by that organization and do a proper rebuild. |

I hope so. Last year konecny was on the board and we decided to trade down 11 times so we could get a bunch of late 2nds and 3rds (apparently hunter can only find gems so this is a good thing) |

I wouldnt be mentioning him if I didnt think he would be good here.
Again, players who cant reach contract due to demands are worth less.
and the TON is what Im meaning by it gets crazy for payment at TDL. What players go for at this time ...it wont be even close to that come summer.
Im making no claim to his value, more wondering what it would be. What should his value be? |

he's an RFA, so I think it is almost the same. Given the fact teams like Philly,Edm, Col will be looking to upgrade I think it will be a very competitive market for d in the offseason. |

Thought vatanen was 27. If hes 24 my mistake. I dont go and look stuff up. Im working doing odds and ends.
Mcann is too valuable if you ask me. It'd have to be something more substantial in my books. But its open to interpretation |
