I wouldnt be mentioning him if I didnt think he would be good here.
Again, players who cant reach contract due to demands are worth less.
and the TON is what Im meaning by it gets crazy for payment at TDL. What players go for at this time ...it wont be even close to that come summer.
Im making no claim to his value, more wondering what it would be. What should his value be? - SMBDragon
I would say probably close to but more than Dougie Hamilton's value, prior to his season in Calgary |

he's an RFA, so I think it is almost the same. - neem55
Maybe a conditional situation....like IF hes resigned the return is more. Trades like that happen every year at this time and leading to the draft. |

Furthermore, I'd argue that the fact that Benning had to issue a league wide notice of eviction demonstrates the little to negative value those players hold
If there was even a semblance of interest that strategy would not have been implemented

OK so pretty much everyone feels its more than a 2nd. You may all be right
Honestly there was some hoping itd be less than a 1st given the RFA and contract squabble |

I don't know about that, Hamilton is 6 '5 and had a pretty big year for boston. vatenen is more one-dimensional, although Hamilton has not looked great this year in Calgary. Much to my surprise/enjoyment |

Meh, normally I would say the same, but really, what difference does it make. I think it is just a sign that he is willing to take what most teams are willing to offer. That is all. - Codes1087
Pretty much.
It's like an unofficial waiver wire approach. |

I personally like Vatanen better, for a guy thats 6'-5" I dont think Hamilton is as imposing or physical as he should be. I think value-wise they are close, Vatenen is really gifted offensively and not poor defensively, while Hamilton generally is solid in all aspects. But yes, his season this year has definitely been surprising. I was watching one of the last Van-Cal games and I didnt hear his name until the 3rd and had completely forgotten he was on the team |

wow...that much.
So you know, My knowledge is more in strategy and systems used by a team. totally shows why some teams win and others lose a series. Or even seasons. ...makes me laugh when I hear statements hear like 'they just had more heart' when the results were apparent early on with tactical play.
Im not so much on trade values or Draft position, not my forte. |

Hamilton was in a contract squabble as well and got a 1st and two 2nds. |

think maybe Id rather have them draft the D then and see in UFA. Maybe in summer offer sheet someone from a team pressed to the cap unless theyre of the big compensation variety. No point overpaying when theres no playoffs. |

That's fair. Hamilton showed a lot of upside on offense how he was in Boston last year (he cracked 40 points I think). That size/reach you can't teach although I agree he's not very physical for that size. |

But he was also hyped as the hot commodity at that time too.
Like I said sometimes prices get stupidly inflated at certain times of year. |

Big NO from me on offer sheets. Too expensive at this point in the rebuild. |

Is that Linden poster one of Nuckers alternate accounts. He has only shown up when Phucker joins. I think he is Phucker uncensored - CanuckDon

depends on the player / team / contract. If you get a team that is cash strapped....
otherwise I agree with that |

IF you're going to offer sheet someone then save up and take a run at Connor. |

When was the last offer sheet?? Years ago...they aren't an option anymore with the heightened value of draft picks |
