That's fair. Hamilton showed a lot of upside on offense how he was in Boston last year (he cracked 40 points I think). That size/reach you can't teach although I agree he's not very physical for that size.

I thought it was a steep price to pay, but Calgary had the assets to afford him.

We did not and do not have the ability to afford an offer like that (2 second s and a first)

When was the last offer sheet?? Years ago...they aren't an option anymore with the heightened value of draft picks
- CanuckDon

Wasn't Dougie H a sort of kinda not really but almost a offer sheet equivalent?

If you are referring to me then I can assure you I have nothing to do with that phucker.

The Chris Gratton one is horrible.

I think lost in this all is that Bart is on the block, which (fingers crossed) means he wont be resigned!!!

VAN has let other 29 teams know they are open for business on: Vey, Bartkowski, Kenins, Cracknell, Higgins, Prust and Weber.

Awesome if true.

Can someone photoshop Benning's face on the front of a wrecked train?

I'd much rather have Theodore before Vatanen.
- A_SteamingLombardi

I'd much rather have either over McCann. Yes he's a JB draft pick so there's some security in that, but don't forget he almost traded the pick he used to take him to NYI at the draft table while they were on the clock.

I'm clearly in the minority because i dont see JM as much more than a good shot. He cant win faceoffs and he's lost in the defensive zone. After watching him this season, I suspect his ceiling is 2C, and a weak one at that.

Good. This deserves ridicule. Maybe the jolt will knock off some of those rose coloured glasses.

His comparable at the draft was Kesler and I can see him being that once he fills out. My only issue with that is that shoot-first centers aren't usually the most successful ones. Way back when, I was hoping Hodgson would be 2C and they would move Kesler to the wing to be the trigger

He's 18 years old. Not many make the league at that age let alone as complete players.

It is Phucker. He shows up and leaves at the same time as him. Or perhaps he is the kid that shares his basement suite. They are either buddies or the same poster

"The Bruins have had very serious talks with the Canucks on Eriksson, but also would love to keep him...right now my sources are still giving a slight advantage to an extension...but anything is still up in the air."

God I hope not that would be the opposite of selling

Furthermore, I'd argue that the fact that Benning had to issue a league wide notice of eviction demonstrates the little to negative value those players hold

If there was even a semblance of interest that strategy would not have been implemented

Perhaps he felt this was the best way to start a bidding war?

Anyone know if Canucks are one of the teams trying to sign Dryden Hunt?

Even I will give Benning more credit than that. If Eriksson becomes a canuck you know who's calling the shots... and it ain't Trevor.

He won't. It was a one-year show me deal, and he didn't. Another reclamation project gets that contract next year.

Hey guys just in Canucks trade a 5th rounder for Oilers property Philip Larson, playing in the KHL. Supposedly a smaller puck moving dman. Gulutzan coached him in the Dallas system.

Again another small dman?

Pretty sure he is refering to Lindenis#1 with the paper bag over the head avatar. A rougher around the edges Phucker.
It could be Ballstein's babysitter, though.
