Nyquist on the 3rd line in Detroit
Hall in Edmonton
Jordan Staal was on the 3rd when in Pittsburgh

Remember when we had Vanek on our 3rd line & how unstoppable our offense was bc of it?

The guys u mention may all be on our top2 lines
But if u bring in Stamkos & a top forward in this year's draft, then u can really spread things out & make it impossible for other teams to try & match up against us

- jdfitz77

Hall is an elite player that averages between 19-20 minutes a night (not 3rd line minutes).
Nyquist is on pace for 10 less goals than usual playing on the 3rd line.

Again not saying ignore your 3rd line but look at the Caps, Star, Hawks.. let your high end talent play together

Let's get that draft pick and plug him in there. Or McGinn. Or Ennis. Should have more options next year as to who goes next to ROR.
- Zschalberg

Spot on for the pick to go there on RORs left.
And, we need another in the top 6 for Jack's right, assuming Girgs stays with him on the left.

Or is it wrong to call a line by the centers name now too, lol.

You got McGinn (assuming he's here) Ennis and Kane. One of those 3 will play next to Jack. Or someone else. We'll know more come Monday at 3 and even more after the draft.

I think Foligno will still be here
He prob doesn't have much trade value, & Murray could see him as a mcginn replacement

- jdfitz77

Foligno hasn't even sniffed McGinn's jock strap in terms of offensive numbers. He's not a replacement if anything he's a poor mans version. More accurately he's a completely different player.

To be fair, who really cared about that move? Id question it if he hadn't called anything yet.

Dont mean to pile on but I find this very interesting.

From the Oil Blog discussing the DMan they traded last night:
http://www.hockeybuzz.com...lockbuster-Deal/191/75053

Larsen was an interesting player with the Oilers because he moved with the puck very well. In terms of 5v5 offence he was tied with Klefbom that season as 2nd on the Oiler D in P/60 with 0.74 in 2013-2014. He only appeared in 30 games with Edmonton but it was clear when he was here that his niche would be as a puck mover. Unfortunately for him, it looked very much like his 180 pound frame was not capable of handling NHL forwards in the defensive zone. By my eye he looked overwhelmed when trying to break up the cycle. Be it because of his miniature stature or not, he was not getting the job done.

Now, from Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Pysyk

Mark Pysyk
Born January 11, 1992 (age 24)
Sherwood Park, AB, CAN
Height 6 ft 1 in (185 cm)
Weight 170 lb (77 kg; 12 st 2 lb)
Position Defense
Shoots Right

- Der Kaiser

So funny the Oil blog title says Blockbuster deal.

Fringe Dman for conditional 5th is blockbuster?

I care. We got a 3rd round pick for him. A 2017 one but much better than the 5th or 6th I thought we'd get for him

Yea but if it had been said to us 24 hours before it wouldn't exactly be called "juicy" info.

He had like 6 guys to be traded, Weber wasn't on the list. He is shooting darts at a board, and hoping to get lucky.

This is the same guy who told us all the parts of the kane trade 24 hours before. I think it's a little more than "shooting darts"
