Also just because a player is traded doesnt mean we need him to fall out of the league in months..except roy, i hated him - yen6d1
No and I'm fine with him playing in Winnipeg and even doing well. It doesn't effect me at all. I don't care who won or lost the trade. It doesn't matter. I like Kane, don't like how much we gave up. Moving on.
But to say Armia is going to become this ridiculous goal scorer or this amazing 2 way player is a bit out there.
Armia has 4-4-8 in 29 and apparently now plays on the PK.
Legwand is 5-7-12 in 58 and plays on the PK.
Congrats, the best player we gave up is a 35 year old Legwand. Both score long goals that have no business going in. - Zschalberg
I still firmly believe that every person on this team who is over the age of 30 is strictly here as a surrogate "dad" and help development not produce. David you're getting up there your production is sinking faster than the Titanic after all of the water compartments were flooded... we'll bring you in though, you'll have 0 production expectations and we'll pay you 3 million to babysit, how does that sound....

You can say this as much as you want, him being given PK minutes, and having multiple shorthanded points tells me his game is more than just a goal scorer.
He's being relied on to be an all around player, and doing well.
I would of course take Kane over him as of now, but another suspension or serious injury and who knows - sbroads24
I can say that about any player ever. And like I said, sure, he'll progress. He'll get better. But he won't become a star player overnight just because. We joke about that 24 year old peak but seriously, is he just going to take off out of nowhere and start scoring on a .5g/g pace when he's been scoring at a .13g/g pace to this point? I doubt it.

Sometimes when you have the assets you can pay more and you cant dress 70 prospects each year. Him and grigo have great talent but i wish it was shown every night
This started with me questioning the quote of him being The best player the Sabres gave up. I used a bit of a hyperbole but better than Myers, Stafford, and Lemiux and their draft pick he'd really have to pick it up and I do not see it at all.
You have to step up your game . Stop being a Armia. Couple great posts then disappear . - cabin
I feel argumentative but I'm really not trying to be. I just can't be mad about losing Armia. I was so excited when we had him and I went to watch him play in Rochester all the time and he just showed me absolutely nothing.

Then you aren't watching. Which is fine. He's been named a star I think 3 out of the last 4 or 5 games.

Wait, whos mad? Me who said he might end up being a pretty good player, or you who seem to be very irritated over someone saying it?

Aaaaannnd we're back to Armia.
Golly gee wiz I hope Brendan (frank)ing Lemieux comes in tomorrow being the worst mistake GMTM's ever made! - TheSabresTaco
I sometimes wonder if other teams fans are like this about players they give up in trades or if it's just a Buffalo thing. Seems a lot around here have trouble letting go.

After seeing the 'Hawks deal, and if I'm another GM...I'm not giving up a boatload for anything on this market. Would be senseless IMO.
Does Bowman have compromising pics of everyone in the league? IDFK how CHI does it, but damn... - SyrSabreFan
I don't disagree with Chicago's model. They don't need many prospects right now. They have a young team and one of the most solid cores in the NHL. They can spend theirs 1st and prospects for prob the next two or three more years.

And that's fine, so he can play in the NHL and maybe even play pretty well. I'll reiterate my first point which is if he is the best thing we gave up, meaning that everything else was worse than Armia, then we stole that trade. Because if I said we gave up 5 Armias for Kane, Bogo, and Kasdorf then that's a great trade for us.
If anything, the one player that I wish we had from a Tim Murray trade would be Neuvirth. Guy has been lights out in Philly. Had an amazing save last night too. If we had him and Lehner as a 1-2 it'd be great.

Funny you say that as there are a group of Blackhawk fans who are not happy at all with how much they gave up to get Ladd. - kingcong39
I was a bit surprised. Dano was a big piece, or at least from how I saw it, in the Saad trade. Though, it would seem at this point they had really wanted Anisimov.
