I sometimes wonder if other teams fans are like this about players they give up in trades or if it's just a Buffalo thing. Seems a lot around here have trouble letting go.

Really? I didn't think they gave up much at all. A 1st which is as close to a 2nd as you can get, a pretty good prospect, and a conditional 3rd for a guy that Chicago knows. It's a steep price for a rental, but if you really think you're going to win the cup then you pay it.

I am more concern right now at upgrading the nhl roster

kane is a beast when he is on, and we clearly got the better player as of now

just like lehner, I was wrong about him, and his play solidifies our goalie situation for years which will most likely do more than the pick to the sens will ever do from an impact point of view. Plus we will probably get a mid rd pick for legwand, making the cost for lehner lower

But it still makes you vaguely uncomfortable. The red circle over in that corner is bigger than the blue one in that corner. Is that bad? It seems bad.

I heard something the other day that Lehner's ankle won't actually be completely healed until after the season is over. So basically, we've yet to see him at 100%. It's a small sample size at the moment, but I really like what I've seen. I didn't hate the trade, and he's exceeded my expectations so far.

I would expect Risto to get at least $1M more than that on average.

It's a small sample size at the moment, but I really like what I've seen. I didn't hate the trade, and he's exceeded my expectations so far.

In the last two games he seems to be a bit more agile.

For the first few games I was often amazed by how "floppy" he seemed when he started moving in the crease, but lately his movement is far more crisp.

Well let's not give them the cup yet. And does Ladd make that much of a difference that they weren't going to win before and now are? I thought they had a good shot of winning it before the trade. This obviously helps, it's just how big of a difference to that chance does Ladd make? We'll see.

If I'm a Hawks fan there's nothing that can make me upset at this point. I'm just surprised they had the cap room for it.

I get the HERO charts, those are pretty basic. It literally shows you the level at which a player is performing. But there's a ton of charts and diagrams that people like Yost put out there that I still don't get for the life of me. Especially the circle graphs.

The one flaw I've seen is him tracking the puck with people in front. Obviously it's extremely hard to do but that seems to be the time that he "struggles" and I put that in quotes because even then I would hardly call it struggling. If it's true that he's going to get healthier and healthier then I can't wait to see what he looks like at 100%.
