I'd be good with that, however IMO Kane is not 1st line material and was playing much better on the 3rd...so switch your lineup to shoe Kane as 3rd line LW and the top 3 draft pick as 1st line LW.
Other than that, I would be interested to see what that team plays like - IonSabres
Kane was finally producing with O'Reilly & Reinhart
I don't get the need to label this guy as a "1st liner" or not
All that matters is if the line works well together!
For most of the year, in Detroit...
Abdelkader was on the 1st line with Zetterberg
Helm was on the 2nd with Datsyuk
And Nyquist was on the 3rd line
None of that means that Nyquist is only a 3rd liner, or that those other guys are better... They just had 3 lines that fit well together & we're all producing
And that's all that matters...
not these ridiculous labels that ppl want to attach to players |

For those talking about McNabb earlier:

More acute need is D. McNabb has played himself down to 3rd pair minutes, Schenn lack foot speed for top 4 - Stripes77
He must have had a couple really bad games then
I've seen about 4 LA games this month & he was decent in them
They do put Muzzin & Doughty back together though late in games & in important situations
The Kings probably are better off keeping them together & not asking McNabb to take on too much

Thanks
I think that's what Bylsma spent most of this season doing...
Finding who plays well together
Looks to me like the Kane-O'Reilly-Reinhart line is good to go
And Girgensons & Eichel were having success together too, but we'll see if that lasts

Just curious: do you just use plain old water, or do you fancy it up with ice and whiskey, or Scope, or any of that other crazy poop we used to do back in college?

I think Murray needs to do a large overhaul this trade deadline and off season. Doing so will be difficult but if I were in the GM chair this is what I would do.
UFA's
Johnson to the Sharks for a 6th and their UFA goalie (Needs to be done to complete trade)
Legwand to the Rangers for a 5th
McGinn and Foligno to the Blues for TY Rattie and a 4th in 2017
RFA's
Keep McCabe, Risto, Deslauries.
Look to see what you can get for Larsson if nothing too great sign him to a 3 year 1.2 million a year deal.
Trade Girgensons for Cam Fowler.
Guys with term left.
Franson to the Panthers for a D AHL prospect.
Moulson - Try and offer him to a team with a need to get to cap floor. If no takers buy him out. Will be tough pill to swallow but he's bringing team down.
Gionta - to Arizona for a D prospect and a 5th. Sabres take back 50% of his reaming salary. (Pending Gionta's approval)
Ennis has no trade value right now so keep him and see how he does next year playing healthy. |

Are we hating on Fasching again today?
Sounds like fun.
McNabb is great, Fasching blows, those 2nd round picks are Shea Weber and Drew Brees, Meyers for Norris, Joel Armia next Hart trophy winner, Laynor not worth 1st round pic he suxx - TheSabresTaco
Dude, if you get Fasching Sucks out of today's convo, then you are drunk or constipated or something.
I made a point about not wanting to trade Pysk for a prospect, and used McNabb (incorrectly) as an example of losing a good D man before they get real good, and Fasching was mentioned as being slow.
I've been a big supporter of gmtm, love Lehner, and am staying positive through this whole season.
We can't seem to win on the West coast...saying that does not mean I've turned into hardhat. |

Girgensons on his own doesn't get you fowler. However that being said, I want no part of Cam fowler

It's (frank)ing ridiculous, and people actually buy into this poop.
From the Star Tribune (Minneapolis) from May 2015
Last March, Fasching’s draft rights were traded from the Los Angeles Kings to the Buffalo Sabres, a young organization in a rebuilding phase. Joe Battista, Sabres vice president of hockey-related business, told the Star Tribune he thought Fasching would have a good opportunity to make the jump into the organization after his sophomore year, but added that another year with the Gophers would likely benefit Fasching.
“We see tremendous upside with him,” Battista said earlier this year. “He’s going to be a net presence and be a guy playing on the power play.”
Fasching said the Sabres didn’t put much pressure on him to sign.
“There was a little bit of push and pull, but they’re still trying to develop right now so they’re perfectly fine with me staying at Minnesota,” he said. “They were very understanding and have been great at making sure I’m still developing here and growing as a player.” |

Idk if any of that is true about Fasching...
But with the down seasons of Girgensons & Ennis, I think he's our most desirable trade piece right now
So I wouldn't be surprised if he's the guy that gets moved for a young defenseman
Especially if we pick one of the top forwards in this draft |

Anaheim fans seem to have the perception that he is their best all around dman. Those stats are a 3 year span and may not reflect his improvement this year. Jury's out imo. |

Okay then Girgensons and a 3rd for Fowler or if not Fowler another one of their D. I just think he'd be the most attainable and has been linked to Murray |

I love it all but no one will buy out Moulson. He is completely worthless now. We are stuck with him unless we buy him out for the big picture move, say Stamkos in the off season |

We shouldn't get too wrapped up in this road trip
O'Reilly is a HUGE loss, and these are 3 really good teams we're playing
It's going to be a rough couple weeks without ROR,
Both offensively & especially defensively
