Kovalchuk has told SKA that if he's not on roster in two days time he's terminating his contract and heading to North America - eichiefs9
My sources are telling me Toronto is the front runner for Kovy and a playoff push. (e 6.9) |

Who is Louis Eriksson?
Ek says he's a rental as if that changes the fact that a first round draft pick and a prospect and this "Rental" is fair for Drouin...

Ek isn't that far off. Turris is the perfect comparable. He fetched Rundblad (at the time one of the most highly regarded prospects in the league), and a 2nd rounder (45th overall). You must pay to obtain talented young players. |

So the Bruins give Loui, a spec AND one of the 3 1st rounder from last year for just Drouin??? That would be awful for BOS and Drouin is arguably a bad for in BOS.
If DS trades all that for just Drouin to a GM who NEEDS to trade the player and is not in a strong position he is moronic - MrBeanTown
Not necessarily. A middling prospect, Loui and Senyshyn or Debrusk isn't a massive overpayment for Drouin imo.
That could easily become a rental and that's it.

I'm also hearing Kapanen and a conditional 2nd for Drouin and the rights to Stamkos. |

Their 1st choice was okay but then they went off the board and made some dumb choices. If you simply swap their next two choices with the following two picks (i.e., Senyshyn/Debrusk for Barzal/Connor) it's a much better draft for Boston. |

Criticizing picks now is very short sighted. We'll see how it turns out in 5 years. |

Meh, Seneshyn is 18 and already has 35 goals this year, nice player and I can't complain about it. Debrusk is over a point per game also...
Either way you never know until they have some NHL time under their belts. |

This is true.
Still doesn't convince me that Barzal and Connor (the more obvious choices) wouldn't have been picks but yes, there is no knowing for sure for quite some time. |

Quite easily, actually.
Whoever, if anyone, acquires Eriksson on deadline day only needs to fit 944,444 under the cap. hashtag prorated |

Exactly, look at 2014 Draft... Virtanen was thought to be a more obvious choice than players like Larkin or Ehlers who went close behind him.
So yes, Barzan and Connor (I especially wanted them to draft Connor) could be better but never really know at this point. |
