Drouin makes no sense.
He hates it in Tampa, he'll want to kill himself playing for Claude. I don't see how this helps Boston. Unless Sweeney Todd's plan is trade Drouin for a 50 point guy and a bunch of ponies. |

If he ends up in Boston Claude will immediately send him to the press box. |

I know traditionally GM Snow does not make strong trades at the deadline with existing expiring contracts but does Okposo and the Anthony Beauvillier get it done for Drouin and Braydon Colburn? |

So what would the Habs be giving up for Yak? |
|
|
|
So you were told about Yak and the Habs because Montreal beat the Caps last night or because it was posted on the Fourth Period: and we quote:
"t's believed several teams have inquired about his availability, including the Montreal Canadiens, and talks could intensify between now and the 3pm ET trade deadline on Feb. 29.
The link with Montreal shouldn't come as a surprise, given how Yakupov and Canadiens rising star Alex Galchenyuk played together in Sarnia of the OHL and are good friends. " |

$1,523,851 on GF is the annual value of contracts they can add. So, $3M is needed for eriksson. |

I think the Oil would be down but it seems like a bit of a steep price. |

rienhart (same draft) got a mid 1st and a 2nd last year.

1) Andrew Ladd - Unless this guy goes to Flordia (where I think he's going) he's hitting the UFA market. Chicago would be a fit but resigning him is unlikely.
2) Nail Yakupov - it's a shame the Oilers don't develop players beyond the 1st round for the past decade - it's also a shame they don't develop 1st rounders either. Probably the fan base that visibly the most frustrated. That said, PC isn't and shouldn't just give up these top pick players. Just look at Eberle - one of the best scorers in the 2nd half of last season. I've ALWAYS thought Yakupov with Galchenyuk could be a home run. Team mates and friends from Sarnia, Gal's vision and Yaks need to be a trigger man. Yaks playing too perimeter.
3) TB - BOS trade - So first off, I get that rumors are rumors - but two teams that are competing for a playoff spot, stand neck and neck in the standings, IN THE SAME DIVISION .... are going to make a trade with each other?.....smh |

I was thinking of this exact comparable a little bit earlier actually and I think it's a good one. I doubt the Oil have much interest in picks and prospects tho but maybe they'd be willing if they could flip them in another trade. |
|
|

Have you ever come close to a real trade ?
Drouin an unproven # 1 is going to get Loui E.
a # 1 and a prospect. Stop it. If the Bruins trade
Loui and a #1 with a good prospect they are getting a lot more than Drouin. Loui E is the best player available. Ladd is a rental and will get a #1 plus. If the Bruins trade Loui they want a young proven dman.
They might add something for the right dman but making your trade they give up on this season and don't solve their biggest problem.
All that for a supposed scoring winger that they might already have in David P. |

maybe AZ could give up NYR's 1st and a forward prospect for yak.
yup, they could flip some of those assets. a package of picks/prospects might get someone like shattenkirk out of st.louis. |
