Dallas isn't happy with Nichushkin.... I wonder if a Yak for Nichuskin swap would be doable. - ReveenV2

Please come back in a half hour or so. Haven't finished my morning coffee yet and as such I am not in the proper state of mind to process your bullpoop. - Wildschwein

What are the problems with his game? I really haven't read too much into it. Is he just not fully recovered from hip surgery yet? |

No idea. 23 points in 50ish games and +5. If they really are looking to move him I would chuck Yak and a 2nd at them.
Hall-Drai-Val. I could live with that line. |

Heard the same thing last week. Dreger says Boston has some interest. Don't know what value the guy even has at this point. Boston has a tonne of good prospects though. I'd be trying to pry Brandon Carlo from them. |

I honestly didn't think we could get anything back for Schultz other than maybe a 3rd round pick. If we can get a prospect who is further along in his development than whoever we would draft in the third round I consider that a win. |

I heard Brandon Pirri last week too. But he's injured now. Rishaug just said he thinks deals are close for Purcell and Shultz right now. |

Interesting, but I think Nichushkin has to suck hard for a lot longer to sink to Yak's level. |

I don't think Montreal has the assets to get it done. Their prospect pool is very thin, and the only assets they have on the ice that I'd want are all untouchables (Subban, Max Pac, Price) - Iloveeveryone
I think pretty much every team has the assets to make a reasonable pitch for Yak. He isn't worth that much. |

Yak really did have a good game last night, he made a difference. The problem is that he rushes absolutely everything he does, with the puck or without it. If he calms down and takes a more rational and controlled approach he could live up to his pick potential. Unfortunately he can't because his hockey IQ has an extra chromosome.
He was successful with McD because McD was able to calm the game down for him. He will only be a difference maker in the NHL by playing with someone who is able to see the game in slow motion, a la McD, Thornton, Kopitar, etc. |

Problem as well is that he needs first/second line minutes....and not only when he's playing good....He needs time to dev into a full NHL player and now playing on the 3rd/4th line....he's not playing in a typical offensive role
MTL would welcome him and make him play with Galchenyuk on the 2nd/ Future 1st line |
